I had season tickets during Florida’s 0-10-1 football season, this is starting to feel like the same apathy is setting in. At least we played a little defense.
Remember, it’s the players and not the coaching. The coach can put them in the right position, but can’t make the shots for them. And if you buy that I have ocean front property in Arizona.
Campaigning for members to join his Mike White fan club. They currently hold their meetings in old phone booths.
We have a 5-star power forward and a 4-star power- forward Reneau 6'8" and Reed 6'10" inked as Gators, not transferring to get simply get a better education as the current squad is doing. Castleton is the only one who transferred to a comparable academic program.
He is sic Listen 33hoop, to save money for the program, they have reserved an old Greyhound bus to take the team to South Carolina Saturday. They will leave Saturday morning and come back right after the game. They will all get a voucher for food of six dollars, McDonalds has two large mix and match sandwiches for sale. They will have to take a water bottle with them if they want something to drink or buy their own sodas. Those two sandwiches will have to hold’em till they get back to Gainseville. Warmups will be walking the aisle of the dirty dog and a plastic hoop will be provided from CMW’s family to practice their shots. This is a directive from SS. This bus could possibly hold our contingent of fans to go along for the game. FYI.............
Gonna need a PG that can score and not have more turnovers than assists, plus a scoring Center that can replace Castleton.
Their star point guard didn't play, and their best player fouled out with 14 minutes left in the 2nd half and we never even took the lead.
The fact that Fleming did not even appreciate the significance of putting a Georgia jersey on speaks volumes as to where the culture of Florida sports is under Stricklin. Napier will hone in the focus to where it needs to be, but it is hard for a bunch of transfers (which is what Florida basketball has become) to be all in on the culture.
Anyone who was spoon-fed success from one of the greatest ever, and who has systematically turned our program from one of the top in the country to one of the worst in the SEC is not cut out to be a head coach anywhere.
Annnnd...that's why I kept harping on what Fleming did wasn't a good look. I knew it was going to be that narrative after the first loss. Well that didn't take long. Hahahaha
I was a Zook groupie, but dang that guy could recruit. I at least knew he was going to leave the next guy a ton of talent ... which he did.
I wish Grateful.. then I wouldn’t have to waste my time on these forums. Thanx for the positive spin though!
Lol..good for you sir! Congrats and take a bow. If he gets fired...cool I don't care and if he doesn't then he doesn't. Here is something, I don't know who the next coach will be but one day that person will leave as well and when it happens I will pump my chest in the year 2035 and say "see there I told you so" just like you are right now. Lol.
You are missing the point. I never once said that Donovan wasn’t the right coach even when he had some struggles with early exits in the tournament and getting flack from fans. If a person has fair knowledge of basketball it is easy to see if a coach is going to be successful or not. I could see that Donovan knew how to coach and believed with time that he would build a good program. I haven’t seen very much in White to give me that confidence. So, yeah nobody lasts as a coach forever but there’s a difference in leaving because you can’t succeed and leaving for greener pastures.
How do you know any of that? Are you his personal assistant that attends every meeting with a coach or athlete giving you first hand knowledge of what Stricklin does or doesn’t appreciate? He’s an administrator, not a genie making your every wish come true immediately. Patience is a virtue.
