Absolutely none, other than we are a bad bb team right now. Missed FTs, unable to take advantage of LSU players fouling out, poor shooting, poor coaching. Very sad!!
CMW has to go. Free throws have to be made. I remember in high school we had to go 18 of 20 every practice or every miss under that was a suicide. Star or bench rider, you better make your free throws. and I mean 18 of 20 for each person. For the team. All of us had to do it. We didn’t miss a lot of free throws.
I agree, but shooting 36% from the floor was a contributing factor. Not to mention our starting PG had 2 pts and 4 TOs.
I've been defending Coach White, but he needs to show and prove. I'm not going to join the calls for his job, but I'm no longer going to tell people to chill out.
It’ll be missed layups the next game, then being out rebounded , then turnovers, then a nice combination of all of the above. It’s always something with this coach.
It’s infuriating that Foley chose to go for a mid major “up and coming” coach, after what Billy built.. We are a shell of that program now, and I’m worried about the candidate pool now..
Bad offense, with no good shooters to bail out bad offense. The aggravating thing in this one is the effort was there, a lot of things went our way that really had us in position to win, particularly fouls (2 of their key guys fouling out). But our FT and 3 point shooting down the stretch was straight garbage. Getting to .500 in league play seems like an uphill climb now.
Next time we see LSU it will be in red stick and they will have their best player back. Things aren’t going to get much easier for this team.
Just tough to watch. Effort was there, hats off to the players for fighting their guts out. Such a hard way to lose one.
same as Mullen. If it wasn’t defense, it was offense, if it wasn’t either, it was special teams. Special teams for White is the FT line
Hall, this team has zero confidence right now. You can tell in their body language. They don’t pass the ball like they were in those first few games, nor are they playing with the same intensity on defense. White doesn’t have a clue how to improve this team and the players know it. If White doesn’t get fired at the end of this season the program is going to keep slipping till it is consistently in the bottom half of the conference.
A very winnable game yet at no point did I think for a second that we were going to pull it out. That's how much confidence I have in the program right now.
Eh, even our football program, which is a high value $$$ program has to continually go this route. We probably will again next time too for basketball. You just have to hope you hit. It’s not like Whites record is a disaster. It has just been… chronically mediocre. This year is trending disaster though. No matter where you rank, the odds of bringing in proven championship coaches is low, getting them to switch from another power program. But FL basketball truly doesn’t even have the support to deserve it anyway, at least our football program has top 10 or top 20 fan passion where you can ask why not bring in almost anyone we wanted and not sound too crazy. Our basketball support isn’t top 25, maybe not even top 50 right now. The odds of stealing a coach from a top 20 program is practically nil, unless it’s an up and comer at a mid-major.
