I’ll just point out that the Women’s basketball team has an “interim” coach who took over a team in considerable disarray when the former coach was fired for cause. On top of that she lost the team’s leading scored and best performer from last year three days ago due to injury. Then they beat Texas A&M (ranked) AT Texas A&M in double overtime.

 

I was thinking today, wouldn’t it have been cool if we landed Becky Harmon…for the men’s coach.

I know, I know…but still. Nice thought experiment.

 

I really, really like Mike white. That said he would be a fantastic coach for J.U. or UNF or somebody like that.

 

So, just because Mike White seems like a decent person, the results don’t matter?

What's his buy out? Is it affordable?

People complain that's he's a good enough game-day coach. I don't know if that's the case or he just doesn't have the talent that's capable of executing and directed game changes.

Probably a combination of both.

 

Why would someone complain that he's good enough?

 

I was thinking the same thing the other day.

 

Tom Crean won the big ten twice and has been to a final four. He is a better HC than MW.

 

No offense, Crean would not be my first choice, not disputing your post, just saying he would not be my choice to replace CMW.

 

I’ve always liked Tom Crean as a coach, but he has done nothing at Georgia.

Mike White had a team predicted to be 7th in the SEC this year and I suspect that being 7th would be an NCAA team this year.

Then his team overperformed early on.

And then underperformed.

The season isn't over.

We are not a national contender team, but we are not an easy out team either.

 

No way. Georgia has sucked in his 4 years there. He is 5-10 and winless in sec play this year. Never made the NCAAs at Georgia and 14-42 in sec play. I know Georgia is terrible at hoops but he will be lucky to keep his current job.
