Games was closer than the final score indicates. I'm proud of our team! Future of this season looks very bright! GO Gators!
Sadly that's the trend and was praying it was different this year. I really don't know how he gets out of it either. It really hurts honestly because he seems like a good dude.
And that is totally your choice to make. I'm not knocking you but I can't see not watching the Gators because I don't care for the coach.
Agree..and as. I have stated..the coach didn't miss all those FT or open 3s or turn the ball over..he is not totally responsible for the disappointing play..
Jones is averaging prior to this game 35% FG and 30% from 3. Reeves is 30% and 30%. I think it is time to start building for the future. Next year we could have Jitoboh, Reneau, Reed, Reeves, and Kennedy or another point guard obtained through the portal or out of HS that is conference ready. I honestly believe that next year is White's last shot at turning this program around. Nice guy, but his teams have become the bottom tier of the SEC and that is unacceptable especially since only one of the 8 or 9 teams ahead of them has won a NC in the past 30 years. To watch a clown like Pearl get the talent he gets at Auburn year in and year out, and Oats at Alabama, Florida cannot afford to continue to accept this level of production from a program that has historically over the past 20 years outperformed both Auburn and Alabama.
Jones didn’t kill us today. 3-7 from 3 for 13 points (one if those 3’s in garbage time). Hopefully a sign he’s coming out of his slump. But we need a guy like that to occasionally pop an efficient 20 point game to win on the road like that. Today it was really lack of production from McKissic, and nothing from the bench. Fleming had 7, but he was 1-6 and a couple of those “shots” were so bad they may as well have been turnovers.
We would be better off developing Reeves who provides us with a bigger body, better slashing ability, and with time, I believe a better jump shooter. As it stands now, Reeves will be playing his sophomore year as if he is a freshman. This is the problem with White. He thinks transfers are going to solve problems that they obviously are not solving, and he sacrifices his young recruits out of HS into transferring out of the program I would not be surprised if Reeves transfers. His situation has all of the ingredients for transfer written all over them.
If we end up below.500 I can’t fathom why we’d bring him back. We are presently 0-2. It’s not even like we are actually building a program at this stage. This team is cobbled together with transfers. Next year will be a new rebuild again. Im ok with letting the season play out. If the guy gets in the tourney then the show goes on. The one thing White has done is consistency. Getting to the tournament is a baseline. But if Florida slips down another notch and misses the tourney or is sub .500 on the SEC, then honestly I think you pull the plug and it should be obvious. Next year is unlikely to be anything but a rebuild anyway, we are going to have White “rebuild” after going nowhere for 4 years??? To what end?

If the only reason you watch is for wins then I guess that would be true. I don't like to see them lose but I don't watch just for the wins. I like the game for what it is.
Let's see how the season plays out before making any prognostications on what will happen. Lots of game to play yet.
