Forget the vaccine, NY will now start requiring healthcare workers to have their boosters, too. But still ok to come to work infected *facepalm*

"Healthcare workers must get the COVID-19 vaccine booster within 2 months of becoming eligible to do so.

Under the newest guidance from the Centers for Disease Control, boosters are recommended 5 months after the original COVID-19 vaccine cycle is completed. Hochul said Friday that New York would adopt the guidance — a decrease from the previous 6-month recommendation."

Sorry wanted to add source. There is also NO test out option.

We closed out office for 2 weeks today. We’ve been using every other week testing, contact tracing, and mask rules but people are getting it outside the office and bringing it in. Even the work from home associates are at peak callouts (or whatever you call it now when you are too sick to work).

No hospitalization that I know of just very sick and run down people.

did not learn from the cuomo mess-up did she, if, as he said, it was the workers who gave it to all the dead.

UF has discontinued updating its Covid Dashboard. At least one of the infectious diseases profs claimed the "data is kind of useless."
Testing Dashboard: Screen, Test & Protect » Testing Dashboard » COVID-19 Updates » UF Health » University of Florida

Not sure if this is a bad thing, or if it matters, but thought it's worth mentioning. I got this info from the Chronicle of Higher Education.
‘The Data Is Kind of Useless’: U. of Florida Stops Updating Its Covid-19 Dashboard

“The data is kind of useless,” he said. The program’s staff didn’t want to publish numbers that aren’t representative and helpful, and the gist of what’s happening is already clear: “Everyone knows that there’s a lot of cases happening right now.”

At this stage of the pandemic, moreover, having exact numbers doesn’t change public-health recommendations, Lauzardo said. But he also admitted to some uncertainty and fluctuation about what those recommendations ought to be, particularly when it comes to tracking infections among fully vaccinated and boosted people who aren’t feeling Covid-19 symptoms, even if they are close contacts of a confirmed coronavirus case.

There are two college campuses in the state of FL that require all students to be vaccinated. Both are private and are different campuses of the same institution. There appears to be one in Alabama. Contrast that with Minnesota, with a much smaller population and 19 colleges/universities requiring that all students be vaccinated. This is according to one source, so there may be additional data out there.

Here’s a List of Colleges That Require Students or Employees to Be Vaccinated Against Covid-19

I do find it interesting that a lot of fear mongers are not commenting on the OSHA SC comments by Sotomayor. I guess if they ignore them they will just go away. I wonder if Sotomayor decided to say factually incorrect data by accident or on purpose. I’m sure her law clerks gave her the data. Did she think no one would notice?

As to natural immunity, especially that long ago, it is really hard to know how helpful it will be. Natural immunity tends to be somewhat variable. Getting vaccinated would likely help, it certainly won't hurt.

Exactly what is the downside of getting vaccinated? Like I said covid myocarditis is probably more likely than vaccine caused myocarditis.
