I can post a dozen+ studies showing NI is vastly superior and have done so over the past 6 months or so. Finding one very small study sounds more like an outlier.

Also, note how they focused on the 3-6 month numbers. Not after 6 months. Wonder why?

Same here. 3 kids. Oldest Vaxed. She never got it. The other two did. I was a breakthrough case, but never really that sick so...

Lets put it like this, I have no idea if the vax contributed to my minor symptoms. I am pretty healthy and take care of myself, but it didn't hurt and I see anecdotal evidence as you do with my kids at home that it helped.

I mean, I'm shocked, absolutely shocked this happened...

    https://www.miamiherald.com/news/coronavirus/article257063427.html

"In the U.S., only 8.9% of children ages 10-14 met Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans during the pandemic in May 2020, the time of early pandemic lockdowns and the most restrictions, researchers found. This is slightly over a 7% drop compared to those exercising before COVID-19 when 16.1% of children met the guidelines between 2016 and 2018."

I always, ALWAYS experience respiratory issues around this time of year.

Something new: crusty eyes in the morning.

I’m not saying it’s Omicron. But it’s Omicron.

@QGator2414 did she need to die because she wasn't fit enough? Being vaccinated would have saved her life. just one of countless thousands of needless deaths because they didn't want to get a vaccine...

I realize there is a huge increase in new cases but it is driving the death rate down so that is a good thing, meaning that, in combination with the number of people vaccinated, the new variant is not as deadly. The death rate just last week was 1.55% and now it is down to 1.45%. If it jumps up in 10 days or so we might have to revisit that thought, but hopefully COVID is burning out.

Omicron has turned into more of a pain in the ass for us at the hospital than it is a highly deadly disease. It's causing severe staffing shortages that are really taxing our system and everyone in it. As of today our 300 something bed hospital had 76 staff members out on quarantine with Covid. Much worse than any of the other spikes. But as has been reported with Omicron, the majority are suffering mostly sore throats and upper respiratory symptoms. No staff member has been hospitalized. Also as has also been reported, our experience so far has been that Omicron is definitely more easily spread but thankfully is less virulent. That's why I call it more of a pain in the ass (and throat) than it is a severe health concern. As for our hospitalized Covid patients, we now have two Covid floors with another 7 in ICU with a couple of those on vents. What I think people don't realize is that Delta is still around and the feeling is that our worst cases are probably Delta since is has a very different presentation. But we certainly aren't seeing any where close to the number of deaths we saw during the first Delta spike.

Still can't believe I haven't gotten this thing yet. o_O

Most studies that try to claim vaccines are better than NI always focus on two things.
First, antibody levels. Second, antibody levels in the first 3-6 months.

cracks me up every time. The CDC paid for study is one of the worst. Just look at the list of limitations and try not to laugh. The study also has some who have connections to Pfizer.

A big part of my job is making phone calls to maintain business relationships.
I spoke to 10 people yesterday, 4 dealing with Covid right now. All 4 vaccinated and all 4 cold like symptoms.
First time durning this pandemic I know so many with Covid at once. Crazy how fast Omicron spreads.

Mayo Clinic fires approximately 700 employees who didn’t comply with vaccination program | NewsNation Now

"Approximately 700 workers with Mayo Clinic are being terminated for failing to comply with the medical center’s vaccination deadline."

"Mayo Clinic, meanwhile, is one of many hospital systems across the nation to be suffering from staffing shortages caused by the omicron variant. Leaders from the facility, along with the heads of eight other Minnesota hospital systems, recently penned a full-page newspaper ad to warn of workers who were “overwhelmed” and emergency wards that were “overfilled.”"

Problem is the fear monger "vaccines are god, Natural Immunity bad" groupies are too far gone to accept the facts. It's super funny seeing them now all say "we knew all along cloth masks don't work" routine. Comedy gold. Rational people have been saying for 20+ months. Team mask will go down with the ship.

This is a great point. Some comorbidities may have little effect if one gets Covid. Others are far more important to be cautious of. Dare I mention one of the ones that people can actually control with lifestyle choices again that is one to be cautious of? :)

Why in the world are we telling people to just get jabbed without discussing this with their doctor? Something I have had concern with from the beginning.

Second poster to use this death and tag me. I have never did that people will not have bad outcomes.

Maybe you can use this one where a fully vaccinated for all we know healthy person died of Covid…

Healthy, fully-vaccinated UGA student dies from COVID complications

The data shows the healthy are low risk. If you want to ignore that reality…great. Your choice.

Delta felt like more personal stories for me. But omicron feels like more as we read the news. Only know a handful on the personal side with omicron. But definitely feels like more omicron is happening. We can hope this thing remains less severe so we can finally get the hysterical to calm down.
