2 Louisiana players enter Portal (CB Garner and OL Torrence). Would think we would have a good chance at them if BN thinks they can help him.
Two starters from Ragin’ Cajuns enter transfer portal – Brian Edwards Sports Louisiana starting offensive guard O’Cyrus Torrence and cornerback Mekhi Garner both entered the transfer portal earlier today. Torrence was a three-year starter for the Ragin’ Cajuns under new Florida head coach Billy Napier. He was a second-team All-Sun Belt conference selection in 2020. Back in August of 2021, ESPN named Torrence to its Top-100 players in all of college football. He lived up to that billing this past season, garnering first-team All-SBC honors while helping UL finish the year with 13 straight wins. Gardner was a third-team All-SBC pick in 2021. He recorded 31 tackles, eight passes broken up, 2.5 tackles for loss, 0.5 sacks and one forced fumble. In 2020, Garner started eight times and played in all 11 games during a 10-1 season. He produced 27 tackles, seven PBU, three interceptions, one sack and one forced fumble.
Seems like he made a good choice. He could have been buried at Georgia and never gotten the opportunity to develop . He seems to be a sure draftpick and has options now.
That comment was started at a nascar race then chanted at every SEC football stadium through out the season, it’s sports!
Don't know if this is known on this site but sadly Emory Jones hasn't officially entered the transfer portal.
"Sadly"? Is there any possible reason for a post like this, other than proving what type of person you are?
Crude, but I don't think it's necessarily negative. A transfer is likely best for all parties. Edit: On second thought -- yeah, it was probably purely negative.
Dude in order to have a conversation i have to have respect of you and since i don't have respect of you at all this conversation its over.
I don’t get where you’re coming from here Cuban, but you have to assume Coach Napier has talked with Jones, and if he’s holding off entering the portal it’s likely because Coach is giving him cause to pause. That would be good news considering how unlikely his future here would be at QB
Realistically though, whether he moves into the portal or not will not affect his playing time for the Gators next season.
