We could use a point guard like Ques Glover

I am more impressed with his Belmont game than his Ole Miss game. Belmont should be an NIT team unless they are the automatic from their conference. Ole Miss might get a bad NIT bid if they qualify.

But still he had decent games against each team.

I just watched the entire Samford vs Ole Miss game on YouTube. Ole Miss is pretty good. It is going to be a tough game against them on Wednesday. Glover did not play well in the last 5 minutes of the game, but he looked like an All-SEC player in the 1st 35 minutes. He easily was the best player on the floor and was better than even I thought he would be. Samford is a good team with an excellent coach. I am very disappointed that a player like Glover needed to leave UF to find success.

Glover was College Insider’s national player of the week last week. He is not playing tonight against Furman, and Samford is getting destroyed.

Their game against Furman may be the biggest endorsement of Glover so far this year

Double turnovers to assist is a meaningless stat? Coaches would disagree. Ques would’ve been fine had he waited his turn, understood he was a program/developmental guy and done so without the pouting.

Samford lost by a couple of points to Mercer on the road last night. I watched the replay of the game on ESPN+. Glover was back in the lineup after sitting out the prior game with an unidentified Injury/illness. Ques was scoreless in the 1st 18 minutes of the game, but he willed his team back into game down the stretch and ended up with 23 points, 6 assists and only one turnover.

CMW licking his chops at picking him up out of the portal in '24.

That is funny, although it wouldn’t surprise me to see him on the floor for Tennessee against us that season. He is a Knoxville boy.

Attached are 2 minutes of Samford highlights from it’s game against Mercer the other night. Glover is doing some things that hardly any college point guard in the country can do. For the life of me, I cannot understand how White did not recognize this kid’s talent.

Of course these stats are skewed due to Quez having to play the two guard, instead of the point a lot of times. He also was probably intimidated from Tre and Scottie and tried to feed them the ball. He was a better pure shooter than both of them but felt if he took to many shoots, he would ride the bench and he did. He had a short leash from CMW. All these things got to him and he transferred. He is showing he can shoot and pass efficiently. Definitely could have helped Florida against Alabama.

Scottie had 19 points on 8-11 shooting last night in a G League game. Tre had 10 points in an NBA game last night. Ques just had the 23-point game against Mercer. Is there a bigger under-utilizer of talent out there than Mike White?

I am glad he left, he got away from this coaching "staff" that destroys players abilities to get better. This team peaked in late November, we have a Ft Myers Championship banner going up!

he could be the starting point guard on this team. Not saying he would be great but probably better than the other options

Midway through the season Glover's up to 19.3 pts a game with still over 4 assists. Most remarkable is his efficiency shooting the ball: 63.5% True Shooting Percentage. I don't think UF has a guard with True Shooting number over 50%.

One thing that I will add since I have been watching some of his games is that he gives the ball up very early in the shot clock kind of like Nembhard. So, he is not only scoring and getting assists, but he also is facilitating ball movement that is leading to baskets. He also has been doing this against some solid non-conference teams and now against teams in one of the better mid-major conferences.

He’s also making over 5 free throws per game on about a 90% shooting percentage.
