He could have been great if only his ability were equal to his ego. He has always given me the impression he should have been the premier receiver from first the day he showed up on campus. I can’t blame him entirely though because I’m sure he had enough people in his ear filling his head with crap about how great he is, and how he should go somewhere where he’s appreciated. Good luck with him Maryland, he’s your problem now.
And it’s not his skill set but his selfish attitude. Pierce should have wore the 1, by attitude even more than skill.
Good luck to Copeland but I don’t get Maryland. I remember when Spurrier embarrassed Maryland in the Orange Bowl one year, and talk about trash talking, even after the game. It’s like they thought that’s what they were supposed to do because they’ve never been there before. Their motto is “Fear The Turtle” which doesn’t invoke much fear. I mean why not something like “Hell In A Shell” or something like that. But fear the turtle?
