Bingo. Buhner signs as well. Given all the crap that has been surrounding the program since this summer big kudos to Finley for holding on to this early signing class. Good luck to her and the team going forward. Florida Women’s Basketball Signs Two for 2022 Class - Florida Gators
Curious to see if Littlepage-Buggs is signing or waiting til next signing period. She's down to 4 and 2 of her 4 have new coaches this season... a third will have a new coach next season.
Interesting...if they are talking to candidates right now I would assume none of them are current d1 head coaches. Of course I hate how this 'journalist' wants everyone to know that they know something but then they don't tell anything concrete
I been trying to get these 3 names since yesterday, no one around to really answer. But I heard Kelly is going to be the fall back candidate. But SS is willing to pay on par with most of the teams in the league minus SC and maybe TN.
Possibly not... but they could be communicating through back channels like we did with Napier supposedly. The tweet is interesting to me and one of the replies mentioned Pokey. I have wondered about her myself, but not sure if that would happen or not. A few people who could be "super interesting" and not currently coaching... (avoiding men because I really would be shocked if its a man this time). Chris Daily Pokey Chatman Gail Goestenkors Becky Hammon Joanne McCallie Holly Warlick
I thought Hammon was still an assistant @ san Antonio following her dream of being a head coach in the NBA. Regardless, supposedly she was the numero uno choice when Cam was hired and it didn't happen; so I doubt it will now.
Supposedly we gave her a low ball offer... and that may be different now. I'd be shocked if we got her. We will see.
Forget Becky Hammon. Whoever The Aces are (?) Becky to be their head coach. Will be the highest paid head coach in the WNBA.
They are getting one heck of a coach. Thought I'd come back to this thread because I think it's more and more likely we are looking at a new HC next season. Hammon was probably a bit of a pipe dream, but beginning to think there may be a better long term solution. Delisha Milton-Jones has been very impressive in what she has done in Year 2 at ODU. That's now 2 programs in a row that have seen a turnaround in a short time frame. That resume has a little more experience on it now with success and with her being a Gator with a stellar playing career in the WNBA, I think she has to be moving up the list quickly. That tweet a few weeks back about some interesting names being involved still has me curious though. There may be a big name out there interested, but not sure who it would be. Whoever it is, I think Delisha will be getting a look at the least.
It seems to me that Kelly Rae has done everything you could ask of her and more. Today we went into Texas A&M, ranked # 25, after just losing Lav, and pulled out a double overtime win. That comes on top of the way she took over the program mired in controversy. The Gators are 11-5 after losing 2 of their first 3 while getting organized. I am seriously putting Kelly Rae at the top of the list right now. Xs and Os are important but focus and motivation are essential and, so far, she is getting the job done.
Our coach has done great. 11-5 with player's out not sure many would have done better. Should be in running for job
This is a good win. But Texas A&M is now 0-3 in SEC. They shouldn't have been Top 25, it was on name only. This is a nice start if we can continue to turn it around. We have lost a few we shouldn't, but now won a couple we shouldn't. The key now is to carry this momentum into a meaninful atretch of wins. We need a little winning stretch in these next two games because the gauntlet comes after that.
