    Ain't that the truth.

The guys that spelled MJ were in the rotation.

It doesn't mean that they get a lot of minutes.

BD barely played Noah in his first year. I guess that really adversely impacted his development. LOL.

I read your posts. You obviously know way more about basketball than I do. Being in the rotation means you’re getting into the games at pre-planned times or in a pre-planned manner. Go watch Golden State play, and you will learn about rotations. Noah had mononucleosis as a freshman, and it affected his game and his playing time. One more poster comparing Donovan to White. Beautiful.

Mike White is playing him more because he is in better shape He is turning into a good player.
White is doing a good job with him. He looked like a sumo wrestler when he got here

Most have not gotten any better after leaving.
No coach I know plays players not ready, maybe that's why you don't coach.

To the contrary, almost every player who has left White’s UF teams and played elsewhere has gotten a lot better. As for me, I am a lawyer, but if you played for me on the various teams that I coached earlier in my life, you were in the rotation, you never hurt the team even if the other players were better than you, and you felt that you were an equal member of the team.

Not true. Payne is not better. Stokes Did not play, Ballard Did not play, I would say most should have gotten better just from more practice time no matter coach.
Is Michigan coach just worse than White. Glover is good but would have improved staying here
    Most went to smaller schools
    Hester- Prairie View
    Gak- college Baptist
    Walker- Troy
    Johnson- Dayton
    Bassett- Weber St
    Okaura- UNC-Willmington
    Stone 6 pts
4.9 at Miami first year he should have went up.
Nemhard 11pts 3 rebounds 5.6 asst last year at Fl.
9.2 pts 2.3 rebounds first year at Gon
Most had to go to small schools to play more shows he should not of brought them to fla but RN. Facts are facts

Has to play consistently, then he will get rebounds. Like to see him on the floor with CC at times.

Been saying this for a while. Your spot on. Kid needs to play and as a part of the regular rotation and w CC on the floor.

Disagree. Not been developed at all. If you’ve watched him this year you’d see some very productive games. Hard to show “Want to” when you don’t play. Even without true opportunities he’s still a major positive influence in the bench. e When I coached I focused on development and got kids minutes as that game action cannot be replicated. Said it over and over JJ has something we haven’t had in seems like forever, size and that cannot be taught. Combo that with his positive attitude and you’ve got something. I truly think you could see solid consistent numbers if he was a regular in the rotation and you left CC on the floor occasionally with him.

This thread has become redundant and unproductive. Therefore, I'm locking it.

Oh, wait... I don't have that ability.

You have to earn time on the court. If he was not ready and played people would be screaming why is J J in the game.
He getting better so he's getting more time.
I think next year he plays plenty and should start if he works hard all off season.

The reason JJ isn’t playing more is he’s slow and that doesn’t fit White’s man to man defense. He isn’t a good rebounder either. Castleton being our best to get rebounds isn’t saying much because he disappears when playing bigs that are stronger. He really needs to hit the weight room to add some muscle if he wants to get playing time in the NBA.

Exactly, you earn time in the rotation by what you show in practice and then in games. It’s pretty simple… if a kid is not ready, he does not get meaningful minutes in a game.

And we’ll see about Jitoboh. He has been on campus for three years now and being he has never gotten himself into good physical shape, you have to be a bit skeptical that he ever will.

If he gets mean, they give him a foul. He has to stay in control of his emotions, body and play his game. If someone got him mad, I wouldn’t want to be guarding him!

I watched Dick Motta coach the Bulls a long time ago. He made rotations solely by the clock.

I never thought he was a great coach.

And like have said before, MJ was a way better player after he let UNC. So I guess by your standards Dean Smith was a bad coach. Heck, with all the talent Dean Smith had he won just ONE NCAA championship.

Ten less minutes than Castleton, I might add, Gator Planet! Almost as many points and the same #rebounds. Not bad at all.

    He had a great game.

Killed them on the offensive boards. I would like to see more defensive rebounds. though.
