I see where you are coming from but based on their performance so far there is not a game on their schedule I would classify as cupcake. Or at least not until they become more consistent. Also I sincerely hope they learned something from today's game but only time will tell.

 

Oklahoma showed teams how to beat us and White can’t adjust.

Oklahoma beat us with back door cuts. Haven't seen that many of them lately, but I did not get to see the Maryland game.

 

I thought that a lot of our early shots were decent shots that we flat out missed.

 

Refs swallowed their whistles in the first half and then started calling things in the second half. Since both teams are D oriented it made for an ugly first half.

 

I meant more on our offense than defense.

 

Texas Southern is on a 2 game winning streak

 

Well that works in our favor.....was the point I was trying to make.

The blowouts hurt us every time the following game. We NEED close ones like today.....IF my theory is correct......

 

We are hard to figure out. We won by double digits on a neutral court, but this shouldn't have been even that close. USF is not good. If we clean things up and start shooting better, we can still be really good. We're just not there yet.

 

We're not really going to start comparing our packages, are we?

 

We are capable of losing any game we have and capable of winning . I think our ceiling is a couple over .500
But who knows

 

We have become a version of our football team. We could beat anybody and lose to anybody, who knows which team shows up?

 

We moved up a little and are now in a 4 way tie for 8th place. Auburn and Bama with struggle wins against mediocre teams and a loss by Arky bodes well for us going forward.

Even Coach Grant (Dayton) gave Ole Miss all it could handle!

Ole Miss dominated that game and it was never in question.

 

General observation from USF game is that we have a horrible shooting team. Will not win many SEC games shooting that poorly.

 

A 7 point game with 1:47 left would make me a little nervous, were I an Old Miss fan.

I realize us Gators wouldn't flinch at that huge lead, though! I mean......who the heck could score as much as 7 points on us - with so little time left?

 

USF is 11th is points allowed btw. We are 34th by comparison.

 

They are a solid defensive team even being undersized. If we didn't dominate the glass we probably would have lost that game. They gave Auburn a hell of a game and that was before the feces hit the rotating blades for Auburn.

 

Several SEC games on today/tonight......

Samford currently ahead of Ole Miss 56-46 early in the 2nd half.

Later aTm, Bama, Hail State, and Arky all play.

All are HOME games for the SEC!
