Likely due to Jimbo knowing the Dad, as Jimbo was at FSU for many years and dad is a FSU alumni. Even though they have not panned out in the NFL, Jimbo has produced a number of high draft picks at the QB position.
Jack Miller III Stats at the bottom of this profile interesting to view from HS days. Appeared to be a prolific passer and set Arizona HS football records. Certainly worth a ship
The Florida Gators appear to be zeroing in on their top target at the quarterback position following the announcement that current starter Emory Jones would seek a transfer. According to multiple reports, Florida’s staff offered former Ohio State signal caller Jack Miller. Miller spent the 2021 season as the third string QB behind CJ Stroud and Kyle McCord. He did play in four contests going 7-14 for 101 yards. He did not throw a touchdown pass or turn the ball over in the limited action he saw. As a prospect, Miller was the 13th ranked prostyle QB, a 4-star prospect, in the 2020 recruiting cycle. He went to Chaparral High in Scottsdale, AZ.
It is going to be interesting to see if some NIL deals have a stay or payback clause along with players you want to leave not getting any NIL. Lots of behind the scenes dealing for sure.

From what I've read, yes we would still sign a HS QB also. But not sure how the remaining eligibility factors in to thinking.
Currently only have 3 scholarship QBs with EJ leaving and 2 are freshman with no playing experience. The presumed starter may have trouble staying healthy. One of freshman could depart as well??? Think we need a QB room of 5 players.
There is a report out there that Napier had a meeting with Copeland Thursday, what comes out of that needs to be seeing. In another report its believed that Emory Jones has committed to Jackson St.
I hope (and guess I trust) that AR will take the transfer signee in stride. It is just not tenable going forward with our QB room. We need a transfer.
Are you aware that my post was about Jones and not Richardson? because if you are talking about Jones he isn't a NFL QB not even with a year under Billy. Jones is a RB that tries to be a QB.
