Violent thugs and hooligans brutally attack police officers in D.C.

I think most of this was assumed to be going on. The crazy part is we are looking at a sincere and violent effort to overthrow democracy in the US and the predominant Republican response is to punish Cheney.
It blows my mind these people say they care about this country.

 

I’ve been saying for awhile, the GOP under Trump has turned into not much better than an organized crime ring. Even for those that don’t believe the garbage, it’s all about $$$ and staying in power. It’s a tough deal since our system of govt requires a certain degree of intellectual honesty from the two major parties, unfortunately the “thought leaders” on the right appear to have zero. Eventually you’d think the rubes would wake up and realize they aren’t getting a cut of that corruption, and undermining democracy doesn’t end well for anyone.

 

I just can't figure out how the most heavily armed segment of the population forgot to bring guns to an "insurrection"?

63 months is the stiffest sentence I can remember one of these guys getting. Seems lengthier sentences are going to those who assaulted LEOs. Will have 5 years to sit and ponder life choices.

 

He just had a bad case of loving Trump.
