Isn't Navarro the same quack that pushed hydroxychloroquine as being a game changer?

In addition to the paragraphs I was able to quote, he also went to his child's piano recitle at school and had dinner with 9 family members including his elderly in-laws.....none of whom have tested positive via PCR testing.

Another quote from the head of infectious diseases at the Sheba Insititute in Israel, where all of the Nation's SARS-Cov-2 research has been conducted or coordinated: “But this does tell us that, in some cases, Omicron is not as infectious if you’re vaccinated,” Professor Regev-Yochay said. “And I think that’s a major thing.”

Pfizer booster data vs Omicron variant.

Meanwhile, S Africa and now European countries showing data that the Omicron variant may really be trending the way or the common cold with much milder symptoms than even the Wuhan stains (A and B) of the virus.

Pfizer release their final phase 3 data from their anti-viral drug trial. The drug showed 89% effectiveness in reducing hospitalization/severe disease in those who were unvaccinated with high risk for developing severe disease. Their were 0 deaths in the experimental group while the placebo group suffered 12 deaths.

A second set of data was also released on effectiveness in unvaccinated but not at high risk for developing severe disease + vaccinated but still at high risk for severe disease. In this group, the drug showed a 70% reduction in hospitalization or reduction of severe disease development.

Yep. Follow the money. Hopefully the data continues to show omicron being a start to the endemic where people see the insanity of fear being propagated.

He touted a drug that has been found to be ineffective in treating COVID. Is that not a quack?

He’s not even a medical doctor (obviously). He’s an economist, and actually his economic policy is left wing protectionism rather than free markets and free trade.

So of course it makes total sense for right wingers to listen to this guys crazy medical advice. :emoji_laughing:

As you spew your constant drumbeat of simplistic falsehoods and incorrect conclusions, you literally have no clue about how laughable your views are among virologists and epidemiologists. The problem is that people are really dumb enough to find your simplistic falsehoods to be credible. You, and your ilk, are truly dangerous to those who don’t know better. Fortunately, vaccines and boosters help the rest of us mitigate the risk from exposure to those who adhere to your advice. Even you don’t.

    Na…

Actually this terrible disease looks to be going endemic. As it appeared months ago. Hopefully omicron continues to show it is more like the common cold even though it is more transmissible. Hopefully the idiots like fauci and walensky will stop the fear mongering and tunnel vision.

It is time to stop the insanity. We have in Florida thankfully!

It is starting to become widespread again. Hopefully Omicron is a weaker variant.

It's baffling to me how the general public follow the advice of people that have no expertise in that field. I think it has to do with it fitting their narrative or what their "tribe" follows.

The issue with Omicron like other variants is that is does attack lungs. It is not just an upper respiratory infection. And with a higher RO rate than Delta and other forms, more sick people means that even with a lower rate of severe illness (if that holds), there is still the risk of high numbers of severe illness. This is exactly why vaccines and boosters are so critical. We want the virus to mutate to a milder form and the immune system to be educated to handle it. That is how immunity works and how other Coronaviruses and viruses mutate. We don’t want large numbers of people whose immune systems are exposed to a new disease.

It shouldn’t be. I know plenty of conservatives who are vaccinated. Conservative doctor who wears a mask in synagogue. Supported Trump. But, he isn’t led down the wrong path and knows better.

And the people at high risk have multiple new drugs to help fight Covid.
