you didn’t see us miss a lot of wide open shots? Or shots at the rim? I can think of 10 points left at the rim with missed bunnies.
Well it’s sucks that we just aren’t playing very well right now. Not sure why we can’t play defense regardless of our shooting.
At this point, given the declining attendance and interest in the program (White's attendance is a decent amount down from late Donovan era attendance), we should probably not be trying to tell people how to care. Honestly, I watch out of habit for the most part at this point. The basketball is pretty unwatchable, to be honest, and the outcome looks likely to be pretty consistent with the last few years.
But doesn’t that say something about the state of our current program that we are now apathetic toward losing?
we played zone all night ... 1-3-1, 2-3, box-and-one, triangle-and-two, match-up zone. I think we played a different zone set each possession. I’d love to discuss this with you, but I recall that you quit watching the team.
Couldn't shoot again and a very bad whistle hurt us. This team is not as bad as many want to claim and not totally due to coaching. Those that want to fire the coach should pay for his buyout.
No, because for me that attitude was not brought about due to our bb team. It was something I've been working on for over 25 years. Some days I'm better at it than others but overall it has been for the better.
Once your perspective changes on how important or less important what happens to the Gators is to your life, it makes life a lot nicer. I love the Gators. Always have, always will. But I don't suffer like I used to anymore. I want them to win at everything, but now, if they don't, it doesn't ruin any aspect of my life. It's entertainment, that's all. If they start playing poorly, I don't force myself to sit in front of the TV suffering to the end. I find something productive to do. The Gators aren't all consuming to me as they once were, where a loss was personal. Plus, why should any sane person let a bunch of 18-21 people you will never meet athletic achievements a few hours a week have that much bearing on ones life.
CC maybe 2 and Jones 1, the rest were all contested. The offense is easy to guard. It’s predictable. Stagnant at times. Cuts aren’t hard enough. Timing is off a lot of the time. Nothing ever looks easy. We hit a bunch of bail out threes the last 10 minutes to keep it close.
We aren’t a good team. I’m cool with it. Got plenty of alcohol here that will bring a smile to my face.
I watched the last 8 minutes and man to man was all I saw. To be honest, I’m glad I didn’t watch the first 32 because the outcome was as predictable as most other White coached games. We will be lucky to make the big dance this season and I wouldn’t be surprised if we don’t.
Not telling people how to care. That was a crap game to watch. This is the game thread. I get annoyed that a bunch of folks come out of the woodwork to slam the coach for not just this game but their frustration for the entire MW era whenever we have a bad game. Now, no one has to particularly care whether I get annoyed or not but I'm going to try to annoy them right back by whining about it.
so here i was... openly lamenting your departure, talking about how much I’d miss you, making myself vulnerable... and it was all a farce? You are watching?
