CC is a much better player when he gets that look in his eye. Just needs to get himself psyched up before every game.

Was a gloating post like this really necessary over a win over UNF, after a historic loss?

I haven’t read the entire thread, but it seems pretty reasonable for fans to be relieved, and even celebrate a bounce-back type effort. I haven’t seen anything in the way of bragging on win over unf, but rather posters happy with the renewed intensity seen on the court. And why wouldn’t we be?

I'm not sure what the point of these sorts of threads is. Yeah, there was a lot of talk about the loss to Texas Southern. It was a loss to Texas Southern -- it gives you a lot to talk about. A blowout win over UNF? Not as much.

I'm reminded of arguably the only good scenes in the movie Big Trouble:

I thought the thread title was a little out of place, given that the conversation had nothing to do with the quietness of outwardly critical fans.

After last night, there is no excuse that some combination of Kennedy, Reeves, Jitobah and Lane don't get some minutes each game going forward. White put these guys early in the 1st half which is what he has to do. Play these guys early and see which ones are playing well and can be trusted for the 2nd half. Give your guys especially Castleton and Jones some much needed rest regardless of how good the team we're playing is. I really hope that White makes this a priority.

I agree each game should be given equal weight as a single outcome, but we shouldn’t ignore the quantitative value in margin of victory and strength of opposing side. Eg If we be beat Gonzaga by 20, I’d be extremely pumped. We would be ignoring a lot of information to treat that outcome the same as beating Jacksonville by 1, just because they are both one game.

What is it that you want to happen? We all dwell on the loss, even after a blowout win the next game?

They’ll need to maintain that intensity obviously. Need a 5/6 game run as the loss is one that could be very costly unless we do big things this year. Committees generally can’t just discount a loss like that.

Someone has to emerge as a consistent outside threat. We just do not have that right now.

Um no. It seems I’ve done a very poor job of explaining my viewpoint, so I’m just going to bow out. Have a good one, Murph.

That's a good sign. The kid is thin as a rail and lacking polish, but, oh my, he's athletic and disruptive! If we can get him to stay in-role, he can help us.

Agree. I don’t get the reasoning on why CWM choose to sit them. They get developed by playing them in real game experiences. It's nonsense if he's trying to save their redshirt year. They can leave school anytime they want. So just play em.

I’m not sure what I’d be considered... but I’m posting.
Feel free to join some of the threads, and some basketball conversation.

Agree….but the same coach. A lot of similarities with all his teams - the main one is the inconsistency.
