Amazing that folks are arguing over whose loss is “better”

Yep. The SWAC is just as strong as the Big 10.

Yes, a loss is a loss is a loss.

    Essentially indistinguishable.

    Especially in a "tournament" sport.

String some losses together, identify a consistent weakness, then you got something.

ugh. I guess it was inevitable for this to devolve into a debate over Florida’s loss.

It’s amazing how we invent distinguishments to suit a narrative. First time in my life I ever heard that a loss to the SWAC is unacceptable. Here I was thinking it was because TXSO was 0-7.

First time in history an SEC school ever lost to a SWAC team might be why

No losses are good. But there's no doubt that in the eyes of Selection Committee, there are losses, and then there are bad losses. And then there are epic fails, like highly-ranked P5 teams getting blown out at home by winless SWAC teams. Hypothetically speaking, of course, and not referring to any specific incidents.

But since it wasn’t shown nationally, it counts less

No question ours was horrific. Maybe will be the worst all year.
Goes along with the 19-1baseball loss to South Alabama last year and the Samford debacle in football. We are starting to get concerning. Well it has been

I guess the Big 10 and ACC started their conference schedule before New Years.

yep. matchups, bad shooting nights - you never know, especially when dealing with 18-22 year olds - and especially early in the season when most of the players have played <10 games together
the important thing is we bounced back. We all (most of us) knew this wasn't a 35-0 team, but it's also not a .500 team either. We'll be fine.

First time a ranked SEC team did.

Yeah, it was an ugly loss and painful to watch

TXSO beat us in Gainesville. Rutgers won at home over Purdue. Rutgers also has a win over Clemson. Our loss is like eating the remains of Big Macs that you find in a McDonalds trash bin. Purdue’s loss is like eating ribs at Sonny’s.

Sonny’s has great baked beans and good fries and garlic bread. The ribs ain’t that good, but they’re better than what you will find in the trash at McDonald’s.

I will give you the baked beans. They are great.

But McDonalds and Sonny's meats are not very good.

I agree with both of your statements, but digging the meat out of the garbage? No.
