Yeah man, I enjoy your posts. I really was just clearing it up my position for other people who may be unclear.
It was terrible. Got worked top to bottom. I do think it’s fair though. Pretty much every coach at a major school makes millions, so we judge them in that context with their peers.
I'm a bit concerned about Tyree, frankly he has STUNK since hitting the game winner against osu, HOPE HE RALLIES UP.
There's only one option, don't give up and move forward. But the bloom is off the rose AGAIN, and it's barely December.
The blessing and the curse of a forum is the same with talk radio sports and ESPN. Everyone wants to predict the end before we are even at the middle. I know it's fun to prognosticate. And I know one's opinion will change with more evidence, and we have more evidence now of how good or bad this team is . We will have more in the future. Let's be a little patient here. Too early to predict the future. Just when you think they will go 10-0, they lose a couple. Now we lost an embarrassing loss, really bad one here. Hard to sugarcoat that one. But all will be well when we beat Tenn and Kentucky . Then everyone will want to put us in the Final Four.
We'll certainly see. However, I would say the problem is that we don't really need to worry about Kentucky or Tennessee. We seem to get up for those games and play pretty well. The problem is when we face lesser teams and drop the head-scratcher like UGA or South Carolina.
It’s what he and some others did all last year, trying to let everybody know their eyes were deceiving them, because we didn’t know the game of basketball enough..
In your opinion, should a mediocre coach be making $4M a year then? If wins and losses don’t matter and we should ‘just enjoy the ride’ - shouldn’t salaries and expenses be dramatically reduced? Why bother to join the rat race? Are you anti-capitalist also?
Ain't nobody on this board pulling down Mike White $$$. It's the nature of big-time college coaching. When he gets fired, he'll find another job making an a$$ ton of $$$.
Another big disappointment from Monday Night is I think a lot of "casual" Gators fans were ready to jump on board this current Gator team and now they're off. I guess if we go on a winning streak, than some will be back, but it was a huge missed opportunity to generate a lot of excitement for Gator basketball. I hope that this team can get that excitement back and I think winning the next 2 would be a good start.
