Reports out of SA stating Omicron is hitting the unvaccinated hard. Breakthrough cases just mildly ill.

I hope our unvaccinated posters are stocking up on their horse paste.

Of course it does. Your boy Biden and his "basket of idiots" are doing the same thing that you had this to say about Trump for doing.....

Then it would follow that those on the left clearly don't either since I borrowed it from them. ;)

When almost everybody is vaccinated, the only deaths are among vaccinated. Funny how that works. Math!!!

What are you trying to accomplish here? Do you think Trump is not racist and xenophobic? Why try to equate Biden with the same brush as Trump?

I'm often puzzled by fact based republicans (the few of them that exist) who try to indirectly stick up for Trump by trying to equate Biden to Trump.

so you are saying stats that show 81% of covid deaths over a period of time are from vaccinated is foolishness? tells me maybe the vaccines are not up to what they are touted to be. if 100% of the people are vaccinated, and still many die from covid despite that, what does that tell you?

Don't blame me for your foolishness, I'm not the one who hid in my house for a year with my mask on and got 3 shots already and still is more contiguous than me others that have natural immunity.

Part of the reason is that 98% of adults are either vaccinated and/or have natural immunity from the disease.

It's not the number of infections who are vaccinated; it's the ratio of vaccinated who get infected and suffer more severe consequences. It's been explained countless times.

It is interesting data. 98% of the adult population has been vaxxed or has natural immunity. So of course a majority of deaths will be vaxed.

About 50% of deaths are over 80. About 80% of deaths and 2/3 of hospitalizations are over 70.

Most of the infections are in below 18 group, which has high unvaxxed rate.

Having said all that approx 3000 deaths in a month among the unvaxxed seems like a lot. That would be like 180,000 a year in the US. Lower than what we have had but still 3-4 times what an annual flu looks like. That's somewhat discouraging.

This exactly. But also, the number of deaths is down considerably compared to UK's earlier waves.

I'm honestly confused. I'm not sure what Cuomo has to do with this line of discussion?

You had questioned the effectiveness of vaccines. The UK numbers show them working terrifically, but slightly less so in successively older age groups, particularly 60 and older. Yet, even among the elderly, vaccinations offer terrific protection. And we know this from UK's numbers because the rate of death among all age groups--including older persons is sharply down in this delta wave compared to earlier waves.

my cuomo joke was aimed at the lower uk death rate, cuomo was not just over there to send infected to the assisted living homes, thus no one there died, unlike new york, and no, it was not just from the staffs in those places.

Oh I see. Deflection from the topic once it is shown that the conclusion drawn by the news source from the statistic is flat wrong when the overall statistics are calculated. Sort of like saying that Ohio State’s offense lit up Michigan yesterday.

Not necessarily Trump I'm talking about. But I'll remind you that Biden has said PLENTY of racist stuff. "Racist and xenophobic" is thrown around ALL. THE. TIME. by liberals for pretty much anything. Just mention wanting to stop ILLEGAL immigration and maybe secure our borders and watch the racist accusations fly. The word "racist" coming from a liberal means absolutely nothing any more. They have watered down the word so much by using it for just about everything that it's more of a punch line now.
