The nomination is Trump's if he wants it. That being said, Michael Cohen among others is suggesting that Trump isn't really interested in running in 2024 and is holding out that possibility only so that he can continue ripping off his sheep-like followers who will apparently continue sending their hard earned dollars to a billionaire as long they think that he will be on the ballot.

Let me be clear: Trump is saying that he is waiving attorney-client privilege with someone who is not an attorney, so that person can testify about something he wants them to testify to.

Yes, that’s right. Trump, not a lawyer. Kerik, not a lawyer.

But in Trump’s dementia-laden, autocratic loving, malignantly narcissistic mind, he has somehow formed an attorney-client privilege with someone who is not a lawyer that he is now “waiving.”

To say, “that’s not how attorney-client privilege works” is to make a gross understatement.
