Agreed, they didn’t belong there and should have been arrested by an authorized LEO.

But a teenager from another state toting an an AR 15 shouldn’t have been there either, unless you tell me as a parent you’d have willingly dropped your 16 year old kid off at the street corner with a rifle and said “go have fun” in that riot.

It was not the guy who took the video but the father who made the video public by taking it to a radio station.

The same father who started it all by telling his son to grab his gun when he saw a black man running.

Third defendant gets life with possibility of parole.

 

Mr Bryan, the guy in the following truck who graciously supplied the prosecution’s best evidence- the video - got Life in prison WITH the possibility of parole.

 

I still can’t believe he thought that video was exculpatory.

 

I thought Bryan may get not guilty based upon what I had read before the trial. But then in watching the closing arguments, I'm pretty sure I heard that Bryan said he missed Arbery with his vehicle, suggesting he was trying to hit him or run him over. I'm still a bit surprised he got sentenced to life.

 

Yeah, it did come up in the trial that he tried to hit Arbury with his truck. - just knock him down or to inflict serious injury? Interpretation went to the more serious end of the line of intent. I expected ~ 20 years for him and with the chance of appeal the sentence may end up being about that.

 

Not the best and brightest.

 

They can look forward to making a lot of black friends in prison.

 

Especially the mouth breather that pulled the trigger. Didn't he drop an N bomb afterwards, or am I just making that up?

 

Having never been to prison and knowing nothing about parole, what kind of time behind bars, roughly, is Bryan looking at?

 

It's been a tough couple of days for the Trump fans.

 

That encouraging, I mean considering he has the blood of two dead people on his hands he gets to deal with the rest of his life, not to mention the one he crippled.

In this culture he will have an opportunity to be a thug right wing jerk off whom will get paid well, future AM radio talk show propagandist.

Or will his conscious and supposed Christian upbringing make him realize just what a horrible thing he has done, that NO political affiliation can justify his horrendous act.

We shall see - I'm betting on he takes the "piggy bank" route.

 

Given the stature of the case, he's likely to die in prison or only be released if terminally ill / close to death. But that's my non expert opinion. He has to serve 30 years at least I believe, and I don't know how old the guy is. Middle aged?
