Ignoring the announcers, that was one of the worst broadcasts I’ve seen in a while. And I’ve watched some single camera softball and baseball games only broadcast on youtube. Hopefully that’s the last game on fs1. Cameraman lost the ball several times and I have no idea why it was such a struggle to keep the graphics on screen, or have the graphics actually keep up with the game when they were displayed. Whoever was in charge of that production should be out of a job.
Good win for our guys. We wound up in a traditional, physical Big Ten style game which has traditionally not gone well for us (some past games against Michigan St. and Michigan coming to mind), but we stayed composed and literally fought our way back into the game in the second half. We seem to be a streaky shooting team, and some nights it isn't going to falling like last night. In fairness to the commentators, FS1 usually airs Big Ten basketball and football, so they are likely more familiar with the Buckeyes than us. I would say the same announce team fawned over us for 80% of the Cal game (when they weren't raving about tOSU's buzzer beater in the first game). If this was a CBS or ESPN broadcast, I'm sure we'd have got the slant instead. And if the one-point-at-a-time scoring (which was rightly compared to a flogged hamster earlier in the thread) is a feature of FS1, I'm just as glad we're not going to be on there again for the foreseeable future.
Very cool. Pomeroy adjust his ratings for strength of opposing teams though, so it’s actual the toughness of our opponents that pushed us up that far.
You know how Outback offers the free appetizer the day after the Outback Bowl. Well Applebee's needs to come up with something whenever Appleby hits a game winner.
I understand why there was no story in the Gainesville Sun due to teh game ending so late. What I don't understand is why there was no story about the game in today's Gainesville Sun.
They will eventually replace The Record as a place where people post public records for legal purposes.
I think that Ohio State will be in a coin flip game with Duke on the 30th and have a real chance to win it. Maybe even favored since it will be an Ohio State home game. That would be great for the Gators if tOSU wins.
