NY is just now starting their winter spread. Let’s hope enough people get boosters before it’s too late.
On top of that, states now have much more access to monoclonal antibody treatments that Florida didn’t really have until the spike was already peaked.

 

What's wrong with it is you're ignoring the massive spike Florida had a couple months ago. Florida topped out at nearly 400 deaths per day in September. NY is currently averaging about 40 deaths per day. NY's surge will pass like Florida's did and the end result will be a lot less people died in NY than in Florida.

 

I'm pretty sure monoclonal antibody treatments were widely available in Florida in August and September. NY won't come close to the death count Florida had during its surge.

I pray you are right about deaths in NY or any other northern state and I think you are correct due to booster shots and availability to monoclonal antibody treatment.


It was not until September 25th did we start even getting a chance to order it. We were almost at the bottom of the peak by then.

looks like by end of Aug, total treatments hit 30k.

We had peaked in the middle of August. Could had really used the sites in early July.

 

I have been working antibody clinics since August. They were around a few months before that. Most of who come in are unvaccinated by a large margin. The treatment gets raving reviews by people who have had it and often report improvement within 24 hours. Would love to know how the effects of the antibody impact these numbers because they seem to have very good efficacy as a prophylactic as well.

 

Huge problem here, we saw identical (or steeper) falls in Nagasaki, Osaka, Kyoto, and virtually every other Japanese city, none of which recommended ivermectin.
This seems to be the MO for this group, define "treatment period" after the fact.

Find somewhere that cases dropped then decide they must have gotten ivermectin.

 

The problem with this is that you are making an assertion based on a single data point at a given time. Perhaps Florida's covid policies have been better than those in New York, but use of this data to support that narrative is terribly flawed.

 

People are rooting for others to get vaxxed and be safe so that we have to rely far less on antibody and other therapeutics to get out of the mess. Can't help but continue to think how much disinformation and rank partisanship has harmed so many people.

Cuomo was rightly ripped to shreds for hiding the numbers. Shame on him. He blew his credibility. But the policy was in large part based on CDC guidelines and much of the criticism toward that end was hype. @G8trGr8t is right about how Covid got into and spread around those nursing homes. Same across the country where nursing homes became hotspots for covid spread.

 

Because the deaths still happened on his watch regardless of how. He also refused help from Trump because of the optics. He f’d up big time and made SOME horrible decisions. There are literally zero people defending him at this point yet you continue on this crusade fighting the good fight against no one. Keep it up, you’re doing a splendid job!
