I would not take either of the vaccines right now. I really don't trust the efficacy nor the side effects part of these therapies at this point in time.

They say that after the monoclonal that you're good for up to 8 months on that alone. Some experts say that the monoclonal shot is good for up tom8 months... maybe they will come up with a real safe vaccine for Covid-19 but not right now. I don't feel safe taking these early versions of it.

 

I just got my booster today. I'm somehow managing to hang in there. I'll let you know if I die.

 

NY's higher vaccination rate than FL is due to either better state leadership or a more intelligent populace, or probably a combination of both.

obviously the higher vaccination rate is not showing up in the number of cases daily in each state is it?right now new york's 7 day average 4x that of florida, do you call that good, i don't.

 

Did you do a comparison in August? I don't remember seeing you post that comparison in August. Why not?

 

august is revisionist history,obviously florida has greatly improved since then, the 7 day average numbers say new york has gotten worse.

Funny that you should mention vaccination rates. Look where the New York "spike" is actually happening and what their vaccination rates are. There are 2 counties with over 100 new cases per day per 100K people, Cattaraugus County and Washington County (the spike is primarily happening in rural, upstate areas). The vaccination rate in those counties is 49.88% and 60.11%, respectively. Meanwhile, in the city, in New York county, where the vaccination rate is at 75.23%, the case rate is at 17.2 per 100K per day.

 

so you are saying we only should look at certain numbers, not all of them? i am sure that can easily be done in florida, just throw out dade, broward, palm beach and guess what the numbers would be.

No, I have no idea how you got to that. In the August-peak spike? Quite high. The spike hit hardest in rural, Central Florida and the panhandle. Areas with lower vaccination rates.

Why do you suppose that the negative correlation between vaccination rates and Covid rates are so strong there?

 

So how do you address New York's higher hospitalization rate, currently?

Their lower vaccinated areas didn't get smashed by Delta yet like Florida's lower vaccinated areas did in August? That would seem to fit the data.

 

from worldometer, since november 1st new york has had 121,808 new cases, florida has had 33,797. almost 3.75 more cases in the great vaccinated, masked, partially locked down new york, way to go.
