My wasn’t in reference to the OP. The MW supporters largely came out of the woodwork. Just like the negative people do when we lose.

So you are basically taking the "wait and see" approach. There s nothing wrong with that. I'm pretty much doing the same thing but just tipping my cap while doing so in the grand scheme of things and enjoying what I see so far.

I'm going to skip "wait and see" and skip straight to "unabashed unalloyed joy."

I have been a steady Coach Mikey supporter, but props to @akaGatorhoops for being a supporter before he was even considered as a hire. He needs to be the poster child for this.

I'm interested to know, 3 games into the season, who are these "other teams" that have MUCH HIGHER ceilings?

I like what I see so far. We finally have a team with some dog in them.
With our thin frontcourt, I think development of Felder and Reeves will be the key to how far we can go this year.

There appear to be a few top ranked teams at the beginning of the season that have “much lower floors”, if you want another way to look at the same environment.

    lol!

kiddong aside- I’ve had times of frustration, but have maintained that Florida IS a program at which a pretty good coach could/should be given time to become great. White has hardly been perfect, but taking Florida into the tourney and winning at least a game... that’s a pretty damn high floor at Florida. And each year, I do think White grows, develops, learns and improves... and raises his ceiling.

We will see how this year unfolds... it’s still very early. But I really like the fact that he has formed a squad that reflects how he wants his team to play, and how he likes to coach. He hopefully has found formula that he can replicate and build upon. That’s what I am most excited about... that Mike White has a “Mike White team”. It’s taken longer than I would have expected, but I think he has struggled balancing the recruitment of elite players, with the type of player he wants.... and those two things are sometimes in conflict.

I sure would like to see it, but wouldn't count much on Reeves this year. And I don't think we need him, TBH. We need more depth at the PF/C spots and that's not him. Felder is another deal. We could really use a good year from him.

Truth be told is if we can keep CC on the floor.

Noah was unbelievable on D and pretty good on O.

Andrew D was fabulous on D and just OK on O.

CC is pretty good at both O and D.

He is playing at that level.

Almost everyone? The point of my post a month ago was that with all seniors you have what you have, they have basically maxed out their knowledge and improvement, Younger teams have a lot more room to grow. And the fact that we hadn’t been scouted meant we were probably at or near our peak. The last few games have shown what I was talking about. Add in a healthy dose of our annual MW deer in headlights look, and we are where we are.
Season isn’t over, but we blew a top 4 seed tonight minimum, and have to win a few extra games now to stay off the bubble.

This is your "Chip Kelly" thread. You will be infamous!

If you don't peruse Swamp Gas much, I would advise you to halt looking at the responses when it gets to 136 pages. You will thank me later. Honest.
