(WBK) Gators Set to Compete at Preseason WNIT this Weekend

Hopefully D improves. Looked like the team not only did not come out for the National Anthem, but forget to come out for the first half as well

 

Defense was suppose to be what they focused on... only 3 games in but they look very poorly coached this season. I hate seeing it, because we really should have been better. As a person Kelly is fine, but why we ever give a HC job, interim or not, to someone with 0 experience as a HC is beyond me.

 

Same for the opening home game against Georgia State. They did not take the floor until after the anthem. Not real pleased with that but maybe that is how they are trying to avoid the whole athletes kneeling during the anthem dilemma.

 

we are not very smart or well coached team as of right now, we get up big every game taking it inside then the avalanche of missed 3s start coming. I mean the games we get a lead. But we just went through a stretch of trying and missing 9 straight 3 pointers which were open well because we cant make them. When we go inside they really cant stop us but we just stop doing things and become 3 pt happy.

 

At least we can defend Wofford, but mainly because they are small and slow, more like our exhibition opponent or your average D2/D3 team. But honestly I think we have regressed significantly since the exhibition. No cohesion at all.

Also, no Merritt today? That would be another big hit if she's out for more than this one. Our next few games are cupcakes, but honestly I don't think any win is guaranteed for this team right now.

 

Wofford should never be within 30 pts with us at the end of a game. She is playing a lot of players today, but I wish it was more lets get them in the last quarter or two after we had gotten way ahead. The refs have been very iffy against us all weekend up there also, today is pretty bad also

 

I noticed in the preseason presser that Kelly talked about letting them basically do their thing on offense. Don't think we really have a real offensive game plan sadly.
