Although he did not have a great day shooting, 2-10 for 5 pts and no shots from the charity stripe he did a good job at taking care of the ball. In 30 minutes of play he only had 1 TO which is a big improvement over last season. He also had 5 assists which were really needed in a game that was tight for most of the time.
Yep, he's turned around his assist-to-turnover ratio from last season. And there will be nights when he lights it up shooting.
I think Jones is a big help as well when Appleby goes out. Jones is streaky but can light it up when he gets going it looks like. he had 4 turnovers but also 3 steals and 6 rebounds along with 12 pts.
I hope Appleby takes time to watch a bunch of Taurean Green vids. With that much talent around you, he can do this team better by running the offense and getting as many other players involved. When the other players are scoring more the game opens up and Appleby will get plenty of points and assists. That should cut down on his bad turnovers like we saw last year when he would make a bad pass or two. Today was a good example to compare with.
Well said on all points. But man, that double-clutch twisty under the basket was sick. In all meanings of the word.
22 is my fav player on the team. Fearless. And it’s obvious he loves playing the game. PS today was my 12 y/o son’s first UF bball game. He didn’t stop talking about it the entire 3 hr ride home. He’s hooked. What a game!
I was super impressed with his pressure defense. Stuck to his guy like glue. It's so nice to not see the "ole" defense we played last year
He played so hard and with incredible energy and speed, amazing that he was apparently throwing up during breaks and really suffering significant flu symptoms. A warrior!
