A joke I made to my son this week: "Give me an N" ... N! "Give me an O" ... O! "Give me an L" ... L! "Give me and E" ... E! "What's that spell?" ... We don't know!
Your post makes me think of the 2013/14 team with Wilbekin et al. No NBA draft picks but undefeated in SEC and overall #1 seed. Mostly from defense. We're quite a ways off from that squad, but then again, we probably didn't think so highly of them in November 2013 either.
Lost two close games going into the Final Four away to two other teams in the Final Four. And we had injured players in those games. Beat the other Final Four team three times, but the last one was close. Too much guard speed from UConn killed us. I was actually high on that team early on.
I was playing golf .. sorry! Watched the recording though . The recording doesn’t allow me to come on here and bitch
At least they outscored the football game. For awhile I thought it was going to end up 70-52. Wouldn't that have been ironic.
Haven't been a detractor of white but started to lose faith last year with the continued trends of scoring droughts, overall poor offense and lack of competitiveness against FSU. With that said it does bear mentioning that we were looking great against FSU last year prior to the KJ collapse so it isn't hard to imagine this should be our 2nd win against them in a row and last year most likely would have faired much better if KJ were healthy. As someone stated before we haven't looked this exciting early on since 2017. Here's to hoping this continues because having a young and honorable coach like White for the foreseeable future would be great for the program. Many have always wanted that despite having confidence in his coaching waiver at times. We needed this. Good feeling today.
I have watched the 2nd half 3 times now and wow. If we can bring that type of energy we will give anyone a game. The speed, with awareness is exciting. I have been begging for toughness in even one player but it appears we may have a handful. and they are going to elevate each other. The biggest problem may be keeping egos in check. A good problem to have and maturity and chemistry I hope prevails.
Exactly and that last play where he was surrounded by 3 FSU players but yet got the rebound IN THE FINAL SECONDS OF THE GAME..tells you all you need to know about how bad they wanted this game. I hope they come to play like this every night because if they do my goodness!!
