Love the grit and toughness, despite not having played much together AND battling the flu bug all week...tremendous effort against a talented, ranked team. Congrats CMW and the Fightin' Gators!
Absolutely! The first game in that hideous streak was when Kurtz accidentally scored a basket in the noles' hoop. Bless his heart!
I would say the thirteen point run we went on, they called timeout, we were stealing the ball with aggressive defense, rebounding and scoring. Leonard Hamilton talked to his squad, then they came out, turned the ball over and we scored quickly. FSU was stunned and making hero ball the thing they were trying, nothing worked! oh how good this feels! Great job coaches and team playing the whole game aggressively. This was the difference in the game.
Love the new defense and offensive sets. Did not shoot well from 3, but D and rebounding advantage helped. Transfers playing with a lot of effort and tenacity. Has anyone ever watched a college basketball team where the entire team getting vast majority of minutes were all transfers and no one recruited from HS was getting significant minutes? Strange how game has evolved.
Deer in the headlight look on the run. Looks like they were at a loss on how to handle a lightning strike.
This! That game was so much fun in so many levels for so many reasons, but the rebounding. My God. The rebounding. I was stunned. Our guards were pulling boards down low. Just amazing effort, which as we all know is at least half of rebounding. Don't know what this season will be just yet but this is a scrappy, physical, athletic team, with some shooters and inside presence. Good qualities that will be fun to watch.
