I had heard some very good off season/pre-season reports. . . and its been legit. He has looked fantastic.
The announcers were saying that during this week's practices that Duruji looked like Florida's best player! I was surprised to hear that praise but was amazed to see it for myself during the UF-FSU game. Great game! Hopefully, the combination of Duruji/Castleton will continue to give our opponents fits.
Today's game should be a huge confidence builder for Duruji. So pleased and excited to see how well he played against the talented and athletic nolies.
He took it right to them along with the other guys. No intimidation factor today and I believe that rattled the Noles as the 2nd half progressed.
It's crazy...but um....ummm...he legit has replaced Keyantae Johnson with his energy and production. I mean my goodnes! Please..please..don't kill me..notice I didn't say he is point output but his production and that is saying something because Key had NBA potential
Castleton had the noles thinking with every shot in the paint. Kid shows a mid range jumper and a few more low post moves and he could hang in the league for years. And Duruji? People say he plays hard? No, he plays the hardest. Hope he doesn't get hurt but he flies all over the court and doesn't give a damn. AND he didn't foul out. Love that guy.
He had his moments last year, his athleticism is off the charts, but was very up and down in actual game performance. My impression was he tended to disappear in big games? Very nice to see him have a performance in a much needed game.
