If Wilt was say 22 yr old today, at 7-1 and about 275-290 lb, with his natural athletic ability, imho, he would dominate the game. He would still suck at FT shooting, but the constant fouling of him would work to foul out his opponents or cause them to avoid the last two, which then works to his favor in 4th qtr. He would record record breaking blocks and rebounds. The man could run without tiring. How in the world could that guy play in an era of lots of running, not tire and play 45 min of 48 min, 94%, of the game and Not foul out. That was his career. I recall watching him every time the Lakers were on tv when he was nearing the end of his career and had West, Goodrich, etc as his team mates. I think they won something like 30 or 35 in a row one yr. He would take a pass inside, make a move, the opponent would collapse on him and with a def touch, pass it to the open man who hit the shot. He was fun to watch.
He was a more dangerous defender with five fouls. No ref ever wanted to be the guy that called the sixth one. I saw refs call fouls on Wilt's teammates looking at the play instead of calling it on Wilt.

Probably never took a real course (FIFY). Seriously, he wasn’t a Rhodes Scholar, but he was far from Chris Washburn. He wanted to go pro after his junior year but the NBA wouldn’t let him, so he played for the Globetrotters—I was 10 or 11 and saw him play with them in San Francisco or Oakland
Wilt was one of those guys that caused a rule change in basketball. Kansas ran an inbounds play where they threw the ball over the backboard so that Wilt could catch it near the basket. No longer legal. George Mikan got the free throw lane changed and Lew/Kareem had the dunk removed from the college game.
I think Kevin Garnett would frequently show up on lists like this if he hadn't spent most of his career in Minnesota.
