Per capita cigarette consumption is way down. It is in no way the same problem (especially given that it has been banned in most public, indoor locations).

Cigarette consumption per adult in the U.S. 1900-2015 | Statista

The anti-cigarette campaigns have been some of the most successful government interventions against a harmful product in decades.

Again, you are lying by not talking about what the cdc says for those "covid hospitalizations". I guess you don't want to disclose that 45-50% of covid pediatric hospitalizations have zero to do with Covid. Fear mongering 101. Good effort. Don't think anyone believes you, which I'm happy about.

And if the vaccine could save these kids, would you still say it wasn't worth it?

Sorry you don't like my source, which were the numbers the FDA were using when discussing the benefits versus risks of the vaccine in kids 5-11. Maybe every medical expert should just forego all numbers, studies, and reports, and just ask your opinion. You seem to know it all! o_O

Interestingly, the bans on certain e-cigarettes are actually one of the causal factors attributed to the tiny bump in cigarette sales. However, it should be noted that the cigarette companies are also paying for anti-vaping ads now as well.

Regardless, the government has clearly throttled the cigarette market for decades in the US, enough so that the cigarette company's primary strategy for the last couple of decades have been to sell to emerging markets with more limited regulation.

The CDC doesn't break down the ages 5-11, but their number for COVID deaths 0-17 is 558 in the US. It make sense that there would be more deaths in the age groups 12-17 than those 0-11, because there certainly is a correlation with age and severity of COVID in all age groups. So the 143 deaths in kids ages 5-11 the FDA used in their discussion regarding the vaccine for this same age group lines up with the number the CDC is using for all kids under 17.

The truth isn't fear mongering. And I ask again. If the vaccine in kids aged 5-11 can save 3 kids, is it worth it, even though the risk to these kids is small?

Completely different diseases with long term data.

If people want to put this new drug in their kids for a disease that is not that dangerous to them. It is their choice. On top of that a drug that is now having a 4th booster discussed and we are not even one year in to it being used.

My kids are not going to participate in the largest uncontrolled trial the world has ever seen.

There are so many red flags with this. I think an obese kid or kid with diabetes or other immune compromising condition could warrant the risk. But a healthy kid taking a drug that is officially on the third booster in less than a year and now a mix and match regiment if you want makes no sense. Why is an 11 year old getting 1/3 of the dose as a 12 year old?

Again. Each parent should be able to make their own decision. But if the cdc sets things up where some of these blue states try to mandate this drug for school...we are about to see a war like we have never seen from parents. If you thought parents standing up against masks were bad. Wait for a mandate to take a drug that does not work that well to begin with being mandated for your kid that is at almost no risk and easily could have already had the disease.

Would you be surprised to learn that covid has killed more children than chickenpox?

You are still not addressing the difference in length of immunity between SARS viruses and other diseases. The one place in the country where exceptions were granted in volume had a bad measles outbreak and since tightened qualifications

Would you be surprised to learn that chickenpox and Covid are different viruses? Would you be surprised to learn that it was decades before the vaccine was put on the immunization schedule? Would you be surprised many European countries do not immunize for chicken pox out of concern that it leads to shingles?

So yeah…we did not in less than a year start jabbing kids who were at little to no risk of a disease. A disease that is dna not even the same rna virus that Covid is.

Yet vaccines are severely slowing the likelihood of being hospitalized and thus of dying for the vaccinated.

Also, I'm confused as to why don't you hold the same view about Regen-Cov that is still in Phase III and only to be used under EUA?

I was compelled to make this claim too, but reached the conclusion that Q doesn't make stuff up. They parrot terribly misinformed talking points from sources w/o any semblance of integrity. There should be little confidence in their independence of thought.
