Florida’s Leanne Wong Named to World Championships Roster - Florida Gators Leanne Wong will compete at the World Championships in Japan, October 18-24. 2022 Gator commit Kayla DiCello is also on the 4 gymnasts roster. Morgan Hurd who has signed with UF and is expected to enroll in January is not performing in Worlds: World Champion Gymnast Member Morgan Hurd Refuses to Lose Sight of Goals | Shape Hurd had 2 elbow surgeries back in March, her 5th & 6th elbow surgeries. She is on a gymnastics tour around the country along with other Olympics and Senior team members: Gold Over America Tour - Shilese Jones is also on the tour. She is UF committed and is supposed to sign with UF along with DiCello for 22.
UF's 2021-2023 gymnasts: College Gym News This site has Shilese Jones as a 21 UF commitment, but everything else I've seen says 22. LSU likely still has hopes with the delay since she could have come in 21. 2021: Leanne Wong - 5 stars Morgan Hurd - 5 stars Riley McCusker - 5 stars Sloane Blakely - 4 stars Brianna Edwards - Unranked *2022: JaFree Scott - 5 stars Sophia Butler - 5 stars Kayla DiCello - 5 stars Shilese Jones - 5 stars *Olivia Greaves - 5 stars (Switched her commitment to Auburn) 2023: Skye Blakely - 4 stars (Sloane Blakely's sister) Skylar Draser - 3 stars Presuming Morgan Hurd comes in January, UF will have gotten in everyone that was committed for 2021.
Post #9 is Alex Magee: Alex Magee - Gymnastics - Florida Gators I had to look her up to be sure. Good luck in the coming season and with UF.
BTW World All-Around 3rd place finisher Kayla DiCello is committed to the Gators as well. Perhaps Jenny gets over the hump in short order. It certainly won't be for any recruiting deficiencies. Dan take note.
2022 Potential Line Ups: Florida Gymnastics Potential Lineups 2022 Season - YouTube Those line ups are going to be hard to beat by anyone. The 2022 additions will keep it rolling too: 2022: JaFree Scott - 5 stars Sophia Butler - 5 stars Kayla DiCello - 5 stars - 3rd in World behind Leanne Wong Shilese Jones - 5 stars
WOW! The home schedule- Alabama, Arkansas, LSU, Oklahoma and the quad meet....Florida Gymnastics will be THE hot ticket in town!
Sloane Blakely's younger sister Skye, who is a member of the United States women's national gymnastics team and won Bronze at the Junior World Championship, is also committed to UF for 2023.
FIFY. In a YouTube interview after the Worlds, Wong said she is at and is returning to UF. DiCello said she would be entering college next year. At 17, DiCello could have said she was sticking with the US National Team as that is what the question was about. She saluted the US National Team future, but she won't be apart of it after this season. Morgan Hurd won the 2018 World Championship. Feel sure she will be enrolling in January after the US Women's Gymnastics tour is over.
See post #8 above. UF has 2 committed for 2023. It covers recruiting for 21-23. There is also a good link to the one and only women's gymnastics recruiting site. It does have one thing wrong for UF though. The site has Shilese Jones to UF in 21, but everything I've read says 22. She is out on the US Women's Gymnastics tour at this time. In the UF potential lineup video, Hurd is in it, but Jones isn't.
Anya Pilgrim is listed as a 2023 uncommitted 4 star recruit: Gymnast Details – College Gym News Skye Blakely is rated at 76 and Anya Pilgrim is rated at 71. Is the above twitter post an acknowledgement of her commitment to UF?
