Hey 87, Thanks for this update and analysis. I had hoped to stop in today for the scrimmage with real baseball action but not to be... We need to ask whomever is handling UF baseball comms. to let us know when scrimmages will take place like they have in past years- not much to ask. Thanks again for your always valuable analysis.

I added JuCo pitcher Magnus Ellerts to the first page roster. Looks like the kid could be a possible contributor with all the unknowns about our pitching staff. @shane4three has info about him on another thread. Perhaps Sully is getting started early on that busy winter ahead. I'll add a brand new roster on the first page once the Gators webpage updates theirs with new links to all players. Not expecting that until about 2 weeks before the season starts.
Bsrco is the real deal. Sproat might have that for a Saturday night guy. Just not what we had a few years ago.
If Pogue is fully recovered, he could be a possibility for Saturday or Sunday. I was hoping Tim Manning would take a big step forward, but agree that some of the freshmen are going to be thrown into the fire early.
Last chance to see some fall ball. I hope to make it up there at least one of these days. Gators Wrap Up Fall with Four Scrimmages on Tap - Florida Gators
Updates posted at the top of the thread to the lineups and batting order. I moved Abner to the starter column as a pitcher. With all the injuries we haven't got a clear idea of how a few spots will settle. 3rd base is still TBD even though Armstrong has got the most reps. New freshman Prevask looks solid in RF but if Thompson doesn't end up in the infield I'm sure Sterlin will end up back out on RF. Talbott is getting plenty of time in LF but I haven't seen much from him at the plate that convinces me he deserves to start. I think Fabian 2.0 will get some time somewhere this year but unknown how much. He seems like the first backup if anyone gets hurt at SS, 2B or 3B. Riopelle and Lastres look like the best at catcher but will Sully keep Guscette on the bench that much?
