Our staff lets blue chips go elsewhere for a couple of seasons, spend all their ill gotten gains, then we take them the portal. We’re crazy like foxes.
Sorry forgot there’s younger posters on here. Larry Kennedy was the #1 overall recruit in 1989. He went to Ohio state but ended up being a prop 48 and never played at Ohio state. He transferred to UF as a sophomore in 1991 and helped UF win their first SEC title.
It’s Bama, Ohio State, Clemson, georgia, and this cycle fsu. What bothers me are the four stars we could really use that from the way Infollow we’re never on our radar. Check out clemson’s haul from IMG this cycle.
It could partially be hidden when he was with Muschamp (coaching safeties). On his own with safeties and cb, it wasn't pretty against Bama despite having enough talent already. We have to hope he holds off his commitment until he has seen enough of Miami to know not to go there to rot. Although OSU and Uga have proven enough that they are where 5 star secondary talent from the state of Florida goes to die.
Miami does not have the budget for facilities, on campus stadium, to pay coaches top dollar to attract best, … and ACC is no longer a good conference to play best teams and prepare you for the NFL. Look now with latest development and SEC voting to provide college athletes with another $6,000 dollars per year in educational stipend, as well as providing computer equipment. Conferences with small TV contracts, lower budgets and losing money will have a hard time finding that additional $1-3 million per year. Steers more players to the SEC.
This might come off as a joke but it isn’t, is it weird that I feel like if he goes to UM, we will have a much better chance at getting him when he transfers?
