Based solely on the frozen image in the tweet, even DeSantis is thinking "What the flip did you just say"? :D

You said if you have natural immunity then vaccines are dangerous. That's utter bullshit. I have no issue with your doctor vouching for your natural immunity. Works for me.

Has he corrected it yet? A good governor would have corrected it immediately or at the very least issued a statement shortly thereafter stating that the vaccine does not in fact change your RNA.

I hate to defend 95, but he did mention Florida and the south. A while back she the cases in Great Britain began to decline

Again, here's 95's quote. "Go look at the UK chart. No reason to think the US will be any different. We will top out most likely the 1st week of Augusta."

What does the pronoun "we" supposed to signify? If we go strictly grammar rules, the pronoun refers to the last noun (antecedent), which refers to the US. Not the south. Not Florida.

And it was this post that I responded to saying portions of the country will likely be struggling with Delta for a lot longer, due to the size of the US versus the UK. 95 never responded to my post with anything other than a funny emoji.

Meanwhile, as to our discussion of obesity, diabetes and COVID, there is this study:

Diet could affect coronavirus risk according to MGH study

For the study, Merino and his colleagues examined data on 592,571 participants of the smartphone-based COVID-19 Symptom Study. Participants lived in the U.K. and the U.S., and they were recruited from March 24, 2020 and followed until Dec. 2, 2020. At the start of the study, participants completed a questionnaire that asked about their dietary habits before the pandemic. Diet quality was assessed using a healthful Plant-Based Diet Score that emphasizes healthy plant foods such as fruits and vegetables.

During follow-up, 31,831 participants developed COVID-19. Compared with individuals in the lowest quartile of the diet score, those in the highest quartile had a 9 percent lower risk of developing COVID-19 and a 41 percent lower risk of developing severe COVID-19. “These findings were consistent across a range of sensitivity analysis accounting for other healthy behaviors, social determinants of health and community virus transmission rates,” says Merino.

The researchers also found a synergistic relationship between poor diet and increased socioeconomic deprivation with COVID-19 risk that was higher than the sum of the risk associated with each factor alone.

“Our models estimate that nearly a third of COVID-19 cases would have been prevented if one of two exposures — diet or deprivation — were not present,” says Merino.

Texas girl dies of COVID-19 infection from anti-vax mom

A 4-year-old Texas girl has died of COVID-19 — which she likely contracted from her mom, a staunch anti-vaxxer, the grieving parent said.

Little Kali Cook died in her sleep at home in Bacliff on Tuesday, just five hours after she woke in the early hours with the first signs of a fever, mom Karra Harwood told local media.

“Kali was perfectly fine, and then she was gone,” the shattered mother told the Houston Chronicle. “It took her so fast.”

Texas Embalmer Shares Nightmare COVID Experiences: ‘Unlike Anything I’ve Seen Before’
It wasn’t until about late November or early December of last year when the surge really hit us in Texas, and then it was just awful. Just awful. We were pulling 22- and 36-hour shifts, and we were short-handed to begin with. We went like that until about the middle of March. At that point about 65%, or maybe a little less, of the bodies we were receiving had COVID.
I’d say 85% of the people who are coming in right now passed from COVID. A lot of them are coming from the ICU. It’s not uncommon to get bodies from there, but what is uncommon is to get seven or eight or 10 bodies a day.
