completely agree! that's why i qualified it with 'so far'.

another piece of irony regarding the oline is the delance talk. he has played very good so far this season. i honestly have more worries about gourage (sp?). u look at most of our qb pressures, and alot of times it's his footwork getting him in trouble and allowing pressure.

I think it is a bit of a cliche at this point, but if he can come in and get the Savage treatment, I think he has a chance to be special. And who is to say he can't get closer to that 315 lbs during his senior season? He isn't a starter the minute he steps foot on campus but I think long-term he could be All-SEC by the time he is done.

This is accurate for all of the OLs UF recruits. UF doesn't get many of the high 4 and 5 star rated OL so it requires time and patience to allow the kids to reach their potential. When they get there, they can compete at a high level.
Shoot, Nonar is just another 3 star OL. ;)

My only question is how UF makes room for the 2022 high schoolers and Kaleb Boateng? Hopefully, the NCAA will pass that new recruiting rule so this will be a non-issue.

Weight and strength is the thing. If he can keep those quick feet with the added weight, he moves like he is a DE.

screw the stars, Nonar tape shows raw ability. He’s not gonna be one who will surprise us and hit the two deep as a true freshmen like some OL do, but I think by his redshirt sophomore year he will push for PT.

and yea the NCAA about to up the limit so Mullen will figure it out

Yes, I know Boateng is a PWO. However, he didn't transfer in from Clemson to stay a PWO. He'll likely earn his ship for 22.

Boateng, Connor, Farmer, Livingston, and Nonar would make 5 OL in this class.

Leaving are the 2 seniors. There is the possibility that 3 could opt out early for the NFL, but that seems like a long shot for 3 OL to opt out for the NFL at the same time. The other possibility are any losses of OL to the transfer portal. I have no clue who would fit this possibility. Do you?

Mullen is carrying 14 ship OL plus Boateng. As a position group, Mullen has been on schedule in recruiting to carry 15 ship OL. For any number over 15, a slot has to be taken from another position group. As of now, my question of how UF is going to handle the roster with signing 4 OL plus award a ship to Boateng still stands.

Good for the new you. The stars never did matter over coaching evals. However, I already knew. Might consider my wink/smile next time.

Good, I'm glad Mullen can figure out how to over sign OL and not hurt another roster position group. To think it will be easy seems like Fantasyland thinking to me.

Roster is so fluid, I would think it would all work itself out. Not sure about Livingston atm. I think we have to go 4-5 this cycle and still keep our eye open on the portal.

Im not going to say the stars and stuff never matter, but Nonar has nice film. He is rated about what his junior game film shows, and that’s ok, but he has very high potential

The numbers should take care of themselves. One or two guys will see the writing on the wall. I like our oline class but still, missing on Booker or a Learherwood is still a problem. Our staff evaluation was placing those guys at the top and missing.

Right. We’re only here with hoping to nab Nonar because of misses on Booker, Shelton, etc. but hey…..maybe we’re still in it for a guy like Sapp etc

you have no right bashing hevesy for taking 3 star ol and then defending the take nonar as something special. there is a word that comes to mind, hypocritical.

i called Nonar special? Where? Im speaking on his potential while acknowledging he’s no where near contributing immediately

and dont call me a hypocrite because ive long criticized Hev’s recruiting and I’m still critical of it but I’ve done my part in not speaking on it in this thread but you seem to always fish for anything you deem as “negative”.

as a matter of fact, here YOU go bringing up Hev and starting this back and forth when I’ve steered clear from it. Let it go man, you’re doing the most
