This seems about right. The number is probably lower than 97% since not everyone got vaxed on the first day available. Most adults get around 90% protection from hospitalization, vs no vaccine. Over 80 years old is about 80%.
That might be true about the elderly, but you still cannot make any valid claim that your natural immunity is better than any vaccine. There's no way for you to determine it.
Not everyone I don’t think. It may just be for immuno compromised people and hospital staff. Also I think it has to be something like 8 months since your last shot. I had my first shot back on 12/23/20. Doesn’t seem that long ago. They just announced that they were giving shots next to the cafeteria so I stopped in.

Most of the most recent info I have seen shows natural immunity is better than vaccine. But I'm not sure why it is so important for some to repeat over and over again.
Those that support natural immunity should be doing everything in their power to get infected and infect others.
If I get infected, I'm much less likely to get infected!! Yeah it's an odd argument. The goal is not to get natural immunity in the first place.
I have a bunch of neighbors who already got the booster or whatever you call it They Went to walgreens , signed a form, and got the shot. All of them are 65+. You have to attest you have an issue but no proof or doctors note is necessary. Walgreens can't question you on it. I'm in Florida
As I have stated, on this topic before: it appears that natural immunity may give an individual a better ability to fight off the C19 via "natural" antibodies in the future. However, the risk of dying or an extended illness (hospitalization) from this method of self inoculation just doesn't make sense. Hopefully all those thumping their chest's regarding their natural immunity truly were exposed to C19 and were tested for the presence of antibodies.
As a side note; I wonder if more people would get vaccinated if C19 caused bodily disfigurement like smallpox. We are such a vain nation, death ain't no big deal but we wouldn't want to be "disfigured".
