131 Fully Vaccinated People Have Died Of COVID-19 In Massachusetts (ibtimes.com)

Massachusetts public health officials reported a total of 15,739 COVID-19 breakthrough cases as of Aug. 24, more than 3,098 of the breakthrough cases were recorded by the Department of Public Health last week.

A total of 131 people in breakthrough cases had died of the disease, an increase of seven deaths from the previous week when the state announced that 124 fully vaccinated people had died as of Aug.14.

Breakthrough cases are defined as COVID-19 cases in people who have been fully vaccinated against the virus.

As of Aug. 21, among the 4.5 million fully vaccinated residents of Massachusetts, 15,739 have been infected, the department reported in its weekly update on breakthrough cases.

But sure folks, trust the vaccines, don't try other proven treatments that have been working, Backassward thinking among some on this board.

743 Fully Vaccinated People Positive Of COVID-19 In Georgia, 406 Breakthrough Cases In SC (ibtimes.com)

In the city of Augusta in Georgia, health officials recorded 743 breakthrough infections between Jan. 1 and Aug. 17. These figures represent 3.97% of the state’s 18,697 total number of COVID-19 cases, according to the Department of Public Health.

In neighboring South Carolina, officials for the state’s Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) reported 406 breakthrough infections since the beginning of the pandemic. However, the health agency only records COVID-19 cases in fully vaccinated people if the patient was admitted to a hospital or died.

South Carolina has so far reported 695,489 COVID-19 infections, according to the New York Times' data.

In Los Angeles County alone, approximately 25% of the state’s 43,000 reported infections from May through July 25 occurred in fully vaccinated individuals. At least 3% occurred in partially vaccinated individuals, and 71.4% involved the unvaccinated population.

MA has had about 17.9k deaths total deaths. Of those, only 131 were of vaxxed persons. That's only .73% of all MA covid deaths.

If only counting since the vax became available through Sep 1, there have been about 6.26k deaths in MA, with 97.91% of those deaths being unvaxxed persons while only 2.09% of deaths were of vaxxed persons.

Also, vaxxed deaths comprise only .003% of all vaxxed and as a percentage of the 15.74k breakthrough cases, only .83%.

Since vaxxes have become available, there were 387.9k cases of unvaxxed and 6.14k deaths or 1.58% deaths. IOW, unvaxxed are 51x more likely than vaxxed to die if they have covid. With delta, the #s for unvaxxed are likely considerably worse.

OTOH, unvaxxed cases comprise 96.10% of all cases since late Dec while vaxxed comprise only 3.9%. Bottom line is that vaxxes are working remarkably well to prevent serious sickness/hospitalizations and death and only somewhat less so in preventing breakthroughs.

I might if it's necessary. You keep taking in all the snake oil you're being sold. Actually, I wish for your own health and safety you didn't.

Tennessee ICUs Full Of Vaccine Regret

It’s a struggle for Joe Gammon to talk right now.

Lying in his ICU bed at Ascension Saint Thomas West, he uses a suction tube to clear his own throat. Even dislodging some phlegm has become a struggle.

“If I would have known six months ago that this could be possible, this would have been a no-brainer,” the 45-year-old father of six says after weeks in critical condition. “But I honestly didn’t think I was at any risk. That is the naive portion on my end.”

Gammon is a truck driver from Lascassas who says he listens to a lot of conservative talk radio. And the daily diatribes downplaying the pandemic and promoting personal freedom were enough dissuade him from vaccination.

. Odd that your links reported the number of breakthrough cases and deaths, but didn’t compare those numbers to the number of unvaccinated cases and deaths? Why do you think that is? That is the problem of being informed in a bubble. All you hear is what the messenger wants you to hear. That is how click bait works. It gets you to come back by reaffirming what you already believes. And leads you to wrong conclusions. As post 1342 informs when the complete picture is posted. You have the accurate numbers because you are here, but choose to ignore them. Sad part is that with natural immunity from infection, you would only be hurting those who really need the shot. And at some point, you might need it too

I still have my natural antibodies, I've been doing great. I wish no harm on anyone. I just think you guy's are rude with the way you try to shame those who believe as you. Like I've stated all along the natural antibodies are far better than the shots that they currently have. I haven't done any of the other treatments either but they are working and that's a fact.

It's not odd at all, I did that on purpose proving the current vaccines aren't working as originally posted. You may be right about me needing a shot but it won't be one of these anytime soon. And you and others who have been vaccinated might be still hurting those around you. I don't shame anyone for getting the vaccine and I think those who try to shame others into getting the vaccine are very rude and arrogant and just need to mind their own business.

Problem is your "stating it all along" --i.e. your opinion (and mine) mean nothing relative to whether science can provide evidence of such superiority. You also cannot personally determine whether your own antibodies are superior.

Bill Phillips fooled himself in the same way before he got covid a second time.

It's not about whether people "believe" as I do, it's whether they soundly interpret scientific evidence. The snake oil I referred to goes back to HQC and now invermectin as well as other treatments that haven't been shown to be effective or at best, very mixed and dubious evidence. Yet on the right they're touted as ballistic kevlar by anti-vax snake oil salesman who simultaneously poo-poo demonstrably effective vaccines.

That's a big problem because too many are getting extremely sick or dying bc they are terribly misinformed & confused, ntm often defiant.

Are you trying to say the vaccines are working as good as they originally stated, because it was already proven not to be the case

The majority getting sick or dying are who are elderly, overweight or those who have preexisting conditions. My natural immunity is better than any current vaccines for Covid-19.

The only shame is that you've been asked multiple times to prove your assertions -- a post claiming vaccines are 100% effective. Link to a credible source that vaccinated people are more likely to spread covid than nonvaxed. BTW if the rude, arrogant US gov't had not required the polio vaccine -- you might be crippled or dead.

I've never said that the was a 100%, lie 1 from you. I've never stated the vaccinated peopleare more likely to spread covid than nonvaxed, lie 2 from you. You might need to do some better research before opening that mouth of yours

Are you really trying to say that the delta variant is the same as the alpha variant? Of course things change in the course of treating novel viruses.

Originally as in before the delta variant was widespread? All they could have claimed is that they thought it would still provide equal protection but until we got real world results nobody would have stated that as fact. Link please?
