Did not see him play. Not sure if he even dressed or if there is something going on. Had high hopes for him, and always felt he was very loyal to the Gators.
If you don’t understand your assignments as a defensive back, the result can be a quick 6 points for your opponent. The coaching staff must not feel that Black, as talented as he is, knows the defense well enough to risk putting him in - yet.
Perhaps had something to do with him showing up late to a few meetings in team/position group meetings in fall camp… warned you guys
1. Play 10-12 yards off receiver, unless it’s 3rd and long; then, play 15-17 yards off. 2. Begin running backward at snap and continue running away from football. 3. When ball is thrown triangulate with other Florida DBs through Google Maps to determine location of receiver. 4. Chase down the sidelines and don’t quit. Black should be able to pick this up.
