Lang could add a huge size advantage on the goal line when UF uses 2 TEs. I think he's going to get on the field some in 21. Alabama has a blocking TE only who has the size of an OT that they are happy to use in their blocking schemes. Lang adds value on both sides of the ball, SDE/TE. Lang has the opportunity to be a difference maker using his skill set and size 6'5"/291.

First, we have to get used to his name change to Dante Zanders:

Dante Zanders - Football - Florida Gators

    Same player, new last name.

Maybe it’s scar tissue but why do I have this “feeling” that Stew is setting us up for the okie doke?

The fact that he's been saying all the right things and has yet to commit just screams 2nd place again. I'm not putting him in the class until I see him actually commit, I've seen this story way too many times before with elite kids post-Meyer era. They all talk up how amazing UF is and then they end up at Bama/UGA/OSU/Clemson/LSU.

Hopefully I'm wrong on this one, but I need to see it to believe it.

@Eggy21 explained it perfectly. Not saying we’ll end up right in our feelings, and lord knows i DONT want to be right, but just going off of how it has played out a lot in the past gives me cause for pause

texas is our competition, has a new coach, so he stays home even though he is tight with our qb commit. if it does happen, good luck to him. wr with likely 1 spot for a quality wr is the least of my concern for this class at this time. there is no telling how many wrs are gointo stand out as football season progresses, see the rb thread on james for example.

Can I just take a moment to post what I just came across? Someone please tell me I'm not reading this correctly. This is hilarious. They legit just said SMU is Hot landing spot for former SEC schools. those QB's 1 from Texas and the other from Oklahoma transferred in from SEC schools. Ink.hasnt even tried from the news and they may still be a couple years from playing in the SEC but yes those QBs are "SEC QB's" smh Screenshot_20210830-200809_Samsung Internet.jpg

That's ridiculous. Those teams are still in Big 12-2-2.

It has been said on the boards more than once that EStew and his family DO NOT LIKE Sark.

If we don’t throw the ball to Copeland a lot more, and if our QBs can’t hit the other receivers, the HS kids may begin to notice.

I get it, small sample size of one game but our passing game is erratic to put it mildly.

Both Copeland and Whittemore only had one catch each, not what I expected for sure.

There weren’t many wow moments on progressions to say the least.

Ill give the WR’s and passing game as a whole a “pass” this game but if they don’t light up USF Saturday, it’s a big concern

I didn’t see a big problem with the wide receivers, and their blocking in the run game was good as normal, but accuracy at QB was poor in the extreme. I don’t see that changing in the short term. But even if AR is less accurate than Tebow, he has to play, passing be ******.

P ut ourselves in HIS shoes, I’ll give Emory next week to see how he responds because the weight of the Gator Nation was on his back and you can tell he played tight too. He was actually fine the first two drives, then AR15 had the third drive and got his helmet knocked off in the red zone, so Emory had to come in on 3rd down and threw an int and wasn’t right the rest of the game

I think EJ is our QB, and AR will get more time than EJ has through the years as a backup. That being said,I think the offense will have to be pared down for Bama. Anything beyond presnap read seemed a challenge for EJ. I hope it was nerves, but I am skeptical.

No top WR is coming here if our top WR gets one pass reception per game. Unless they grew up a Gator fan, they are watching QBs ability to complete passes. Throw out FAU as first game jitters, but better see better ability to get the ball to WRs in future.
