Exactly what I was thinking. It fits. And not because I want it to or that I take any joy even writing such a thing. Quite the opposite. It 's because it disturbs the heck out of me and makes me wonder how some can't see it.

Hey. I get it. But let me add, I know a few naturalists who are vegan and anti vax big time. They are way to the left of center. I don’t consider them idiots.

No doubt that there are folks on the left (got RFK Jr??). Not saying they're all idiots--many are not (some are very close family--though one of them is truly an idiot lol). Yet too many are some combo of confused, irrational and defiant,

There are identifiable folks to blame for things having devolved into this state.

I'm not disagreeing with what you said. But on the subject of selling one's agenda....whatever it may be. In this case....getting the vaccine.....

Just my opinion (from a background in corporate sales and of course a consumer for many years myself). Those pushing for the vaccine have not done a very good marketing campaign, at all.

I have not seen an iota of creativity and there doesn't seem to be any thoughtful tactics employed.

My perception is that those pushing for it are incorporating a both scare and shaming approach.

I think that tends to alienate a lot of folks, instead of pulling them in.

I realize that the response by some will be - "This is a serious issue and if people are too dumb to take our advice then that's on them."

But as you said....there's also a fair amount of noise in the system. Data being pushed out that (IMHO) only creates confusion.

Take out the politics too - get everyone working together. Even if they disagree. They need to support each other, somehow.

I don't spend a lot of time over in this forum, but I do think about what's going on in our society, and as such, formulate opinions of my own.

So agree or disagree......thanks for allowing me to share my thoughts. Maybe someone will find something of value there.....

Great take, Bazza! My only disagreement is that there has been some creativity on local levels in some areas. I believe people have given up too easily on taking a respectful position to promote the virus, and when that happens, we see lots of nastiness.

While 96% sounds like a high number, this means that 1 in 25 doctors are not vaccinated. That is still pretty significant, to me. In FLORIDA, there were over 45,000 doctors in the state in 2017 (link), hard to imagine more than 1,800 doctors in our state not being vaccinated.

I'd love to see a survey amongst them as to why they have chosen not to get vaccinated; or perhaps put them on a panel for a discussion with those who have been vaccinated. I would imagine many of them have an idea about what makes them less of a risk compared to others (perhaps some of them are letting their natural immunity play out before getting vaccinated), and just because they are unvaccinated doesn't mean they wouldn't recommend certain other folks not get vaccinated. But it's the public sharing of such a dialogue that is another example of a missing ingredient in the information sharing process.

We are having another vaccination day at work tomorrow. For some reason, our over-the-road truck drivers are all anti-vax. Right now it looks like another 30 will get vaccinated tomorrow.

Depends where she falls on the Hot/Crazy chart. If her hotness outweighs her craziness, then you stay with her. If she falls below that line, dump her.

I know 4 who are not vaccinated.
3 don't trust the Mrna tech yet.
1 had COVID and feels his immunity is good (he actually gets antibodies rechecked periodically), he also has a son whose Med school classmate dies a week after the Pfizer vaccine (unclear why).
All are or were ER Docs

A few of us have been saying this for months Baz and you are right. A few in here have a "screw them if they are that stupid" approach.
No one would market a silly product that way, much less a life and death one...yet many are doing that very thing here.

Shame, fear, insults does not a successful marketing strategy make.
