Crisis actors, fake news, covid testing causes RSV, Hillary’s emails? All reasonable explanations as to why ICU beds are filling up with kids.

That contributes to it as well. So does mass testing.

So it’s more transmissible? How is that not more dangerous to children? All things being equal with regards to their severity, isn’t a virus that infects more children more dangerous than a virus that infects fewer children?

I’m anxiously awaiting Tilly’s interpretation of what 95 REALLY means regardless of what he’s actually said over and over again…

The head of the CDC and the vice chair of the AAP think differently. They might just have more information than you and some of the other internet scientists

Not really an explanation for more hospitalizations and deaths.
'Never seen anything like it': Delta is making a growing number of kids very sick
What is obvious now, experts say, is that surges in pediatric cases are due to the variant's hypertranmissibility, circulating in a population left unvaccinated and therefore vulnerable to the virus. "If more children get sicker, that's just because more kids are getting sick," said Dr. Paul Offit, a vaccine researcher at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. "It's clearly increased contagiousness, not increased virulence."

Again, you can keep posting one off's. I'll just keep quoting the CDC director and the vice chair of the AAP. Most cases in the hospital are RSV, not delta. Show me where there are more deaths. Otherwise you are making crap up. I'm going to go with making crap up.

One thing is for certain, if kids were dying in big numbers from this crap, that's all you would hear about from the news readers.

You are still mis-interpreting their statements to mean what you want instead of what they meant.

You said: “Delta isn't sending more kids to the hospital that we know of.”

That is false according to the article you posted.

So you're suggesting that the increased number of deaths attributable to Covid-19 in the media as well as by physicians is really attributable to RSV? In other words what you're saying is that most children hospitalized with severe respiratory infections are diagnosed based on symptoms rather than test results and that cases of RSV are being misdiagnosed as cases of Covid-19 given that severe cases of both infections have similar symptoms. Seems to be inconsistent with your other post attributing the higher number of pediatric Covid-19 cases to increased testing. While I would concede that a least some of cases severe enough to require hospitalization and potentially resulting in death are attributable to patients infected with both respiratory viruses simultaneously, but for Covid-19 the chances are the a patient infected solely with RSV would develop a case severe enough to require hospitalizations.

Nope. Everyone can go back and read what they said. You keep trying to do the same thing. I've posted their quotes. It's what they said. Tough luck that it doesn't match your beliefs.

You're just being willfully obtuse. THE ARTICLE YOU POSTED SAID THAT. I'm not talking about only the CDC director's comment which you are twisting to make seem like Delta is not worse for children. Again, I'm not disagreeing with you about the severity of cases for children. I'm saying its more transmissible, more kids are getting it as a result and thus more kids are ending up in the hospital.

You do realize that just because "most of the cases" are RSV, that does not mean that there is not a substantial increase in the number of COVID hospitalizations. IT just means that RSV cases are increasing even quicker.

I mean, it must be getting to be a problem when even Fox News and Dr. Siegel are discussion pediatric hospitalizations for Covid related issues, no?
