Are you saying Livingston and David Conner are the OL Class?

That was before we were told Livingston is playing himself out of the OL class. I now have Livingston out of the class based on Bobby's report of him playing QB on his high school team. There is no way he can meet UF development targets playing QB and likely not following that up playing basketball either.

At this time, I have David Conner as the likely only OL commit.

I think I made some good observations in the new OL thread. I could be all wrong, but haven't been thrown to the wolves for being wrong, yet. Let's take the OL discussion there. Thanks.

FWIW I never thought Livingston a QB candidate but no telling what CDM could come up with for a TE that can do it all and throw the ball.

22 ol class = 2 plus boateng, 3 plus boateng if carrying 16 ship ol, at this time. think mullen won't want 16 ship ol on the 22 roster unless for a plus 1 talent.

I think he’s gonna want to leave room just in case there’s an opportunity in the transfer portal.

There is almost always attrition. The number is the only question.

Attrition will be replaced by transfer portal in, not in time to help the high schoolers. There are 3 probable starters who could take a leap in performance this season and decide to try for the NFL. That's why I said "at this time." There really is no way of knowing at this time. The two seniors are the only two we know are leaving.

If Livingston is on the way out as I suspect, look for another OL commitment which makes 2 to go along with Boateng. Basically, Mullen gave a high schooler ship to Boateng starting in 22. If Livingston sticks at OT, UF is likely done unless Mullen decides to carry 16 ship OL in 22. If he does, he'll have to short another position to compensate.

Again, everything is at this time.

There may be an underperformer we don't know about because of the closed practices that may be encouraged to leave to seek PT elsewhere. If this happens, it'll be next spring. That would leave room for transfer portal in, performance enhancers who can come in and contribute.

Mullen has gotten the OL in a sweet spot. To see all of the angst about the OL and negative comments about Hevesy, one would think the sky is falling. Quite the opposite is happening. The OL is going to be good this season and is poised to remain good in future seasons too. The statement that you can't get them all is true. In UF's case, only a few who can develop and perform are needed.

I know. It’s crazy how time flies. It’s tough to justify a ship for a one and done, especially if he is here for 2 years

I think we take what will be 16 if we can get a guy they want. The number will drop one way or another

We shall see. It does not stand to reason. There is a reason Vanderbilt's OL does not overwhelm our DL. There's a reason when we play a mid major or Homecoming team our lines can outplay theirs. But if our staff can build an eight player solid SEC OL it will be quite an accomplishment. That will be incredible work considering how they have recruited.

you make it sound easy. It’s not. If it were we already would have taken OL from the portal. And yes, there WILL be at least one under-performer, obviously. Wanna guess why?
    Mullen the HC/OC/OL coach now?
Could we have a pretty good starting unit? Sure. But we are not deep and talented at OL.
WTH is that supposed to mean? LOL
