Can't find final ruling confirmed yet, but it looks like a ruling against the Governor's EO preventing mask mandates:

How many of these stories must it take? 30-year old Texas man. Married, father of 3, who was both anti-mask and anti-vaccine. Now on life support, and not expected to survive. Feel sorry for the wife and kids. Not sure about comorbidities, but at 30 years old, with the vaccine, very likely would be just fine today. But instead, he tried a combination of zinc and ivermectin, and is now just barely hanging on.

For those that want natural immunity over vaccinated immunity have fun with that. My sister is a charge nurse at our local Hospital (Orange Park Medical in Clay County). It's horrific. The ICU nurses are at a breaking point. They are now going to be given 4 ICU patients EACH. This is complete insanity. Young unvaccinated people dying left and right. Patients being neglected due to the sheer number and involvement due to the required level of care for these patients. They are turning people away because there is simply no room for them. Have a heart attack? Find another hospital. Stroke? Ditto. She has a 22 year old nurse working under her supervision whose 41 year old father has O2 sats in the freaking 60s!!! This nurse is also 38 weeks pregnant and having to deal with facing her father dying very soon. Get. Freaking. Vaccinated.

After the hospital told the nurses about the increased patient load every single one of them is contemplating quitting and taking travel jobs. I don't blame them. The patients simply aren't getting the care they deserve due to the sheer numbers.

A friend of mine, who I play golf with occasionally, is a nurse and said he picked up an extra COVID shift in the hospital last night at $120 per hour. That is rural Oklahoma too.

It really sucks. And yet there are people who still say the unvaccinated are only affecting themselves. They're not. The unvaccinated are having a huge impact on everyone, from healthcare professionals, to people with other health issues who need attention, to business owners who are seeing reduced business because of the current spike, and of course to the people the unvaccinated pass covid on to.

I hear you man. If you refuse them who else will take them? If you take them in everyone else suffers. It's a freaking disaster.

Perhaps I am overstating but wasn't this doctor the top medical professional in Tokyo? A little more than just a doctor.

Yeah because not voting for Trump either time and being vocal about it has certainly endeared him to his "tribe".
No the issue is, 95 isn't running to one side on every issue. Caveats and nuances are not allowed it seems. I find it refreshing to see a staunch conservative willing to say the vax is good and Trump is bad. You should too frankly, regardless of the caveats he may see fit to place on those two issues.

I didn't see anything indicating Dr. Ozaki was speaking in his role as chairman of the Tokyo Metopolitan Medical Association. I would take a statement from him speaking as the chair differently.

Just a reminder that to get natural immunity you have to get the virus and the risks that come with it to you and whoever you might spread it to.
The vax greatly reduces that risk.

That's where I fell. I got the shot, assuming it will limit my chances, but if I did get it, I would be less sick and less likely to spread it, all while then adding natural immunity to the vax.

I still can't see how the vax is not a win/win even knowing your info to be true.

Again, the idea is to never get it in the first place.

Again though, to reference the Duke study, droplets contain high amounts of the virus particles. So while the particles are certainly small, the droplets containing them were mostly caught in the mask. Even if it is 10%-20% that still makes a big difference in the overall big picture.

Yeah, just put it there for 95 since he mentioned a study about how good natural immunity is. You hit on it though, truth be known with people being people, the powers that be don't want to shout this too loudly.

For good reason. It would discourage vaccinations. I like many really have doubts about big pharma and its motives in many areas. But I also trust real doctors.
