likely done on ol hence all of the 23 ol offers going out. the numbers just are not there for 22 ol other than for a plus1 type of ol.

Huh? Since we aren't sure livingston is a te, qb, or OT, we are only left with 1 commitment right? I sure hope we are not done.

It doesn’t matter what the kid wants, he signed as a tackle and I don’t think many teams have interest otherwise.

Just get him on campus. If he’s good enough to play at whatever position, we will play him. Simple.

If he wants to play te as a lesser school, not much we can do about it. Also if the kid was thinking about Sunday’s, you’d think he would be preparing for that now. Just doesn’t seem that’s where his head is but we are generally uninformed on most things.

Well, you seem to have arbitrarily established 15 as the number for OL, and seem to be taking the position everyone returns until they don't. I think both points could easily be incorrect. I would be shocked to not see some attrition at the position for starters. We also have one of our OL commits playing QB and reported academic questions.
So yeah, I will bet you a LOT of money we are not done on the OL

Rick Wells will NEVER be gone. Think he's grandfathered in at this point.

This says based on what Mullen said, we are targeting 3 OL. With Boateng and two of Livingston, Connor or Nonar, we may be done…unless some attrition is expected.

B I N G O ! We have a winner. If he doesn't want to play OT, UF in reality only has 1 OL commit which opens that spot to someone else. When the kid pulls the plug publicly is up to him as the coaches cannot comment.

Looking at the number of OL for the 22 class and 22 roster along with presuming Boateng earns a ship, having 1 commit leaves 1 slot if Mullen wants to carry 15 ship OL on the roster or 2 slots if he wants to carry 16 ship OL.

As the season progresses, we'll be able to see if any of the 3 eligible starters improve enough to make an early jump to the NFL. This also doesn't take into account if any OL transfer out. Once the high school recruiting season is over, Mullen will likely use the portal to make up for any OL shortages, if any exists.

Not really, we already have a TE commit and don't need another.

But if he outplays our other TEs, he will play TE. I don’t see an issue with not guaranteeing him a position at TE and not locking him down at OT.

Bottom line, that's what I said.

Working backwards to the roster, it is easy to see the position numbers Mullen is targeting. The chart shows he is hitting his OL numbers each year.

I didn't just arbitrarily say hey let's carry 15 or 16 OL on the roster. It's what Mullen is already successfully doing.

Livingston won't be in the class as a TE. UF will not push the current commitment at TE out to make the change. It would be a pretty sorry thing to do that to a committed TE for a player who knows not what position he wants to play in football.

I get it, but we have finite numbers to work with in each position group. If you over add to one, you have to take away from another.

The 15-16 number is a good number as I demonstrated. tommyvee posted a link on this page on Mullen's OL roster development. It confirms what I not so arbitrarily came up with as good OL numbers for roster development.

In regards to Livingston presuming Bobby's reporting is accurate, I have Livingston out of the class. It's up to Livingston when he announces it, but you'll see UF move on with other OL to make the position numbers.

The unknowns at this time which have to become knowns for Mullen to bring in more high schoolers is will any of the 3 eligible to leave early to the NFL starters develop to the point to do so. That likely will be known by ESP or for NSD at the latest. What can't be known or controlled are any transfers out, if any. Thank goodness for the transfer in portal in case that happens.

It's a fluid situation, but I'm fairly certain on the 15 or 16 OL number that Mullen will want to carry on the 22 roster.

That video to me looks like hes getting by on just being bigger than everybody. He's not fast his routes are not crisp and he's not a very fluid runner. You take away those attributes and you basically have an offensive lineman who can catch.
