One that sticks with me is Google September 2004.

An old high school "friend" had moved to California and started working for Google. I ran into his father at the grocery store and naturally asked how his son was doing. Well, his father never told me how his son was doing but went on this 15 minute speech about how I needed to load up on as much Google stock as I could possibly buy even said for me to borrow money to buy extra stock...said his son told him to buy the stock. I started to think the old man had lost his marbles.

I chalked it up to a proud father bragging about his son. I thought Google was too expensive even though I had never really looked at the stock....Left with my beer and fried chicken and went to the beach not ever really giving it a whole lot of thought, outside of looking up the price of Google stock.......and then the stock took off broke $100 a share and never really looked back.

At the time the price of Google was around $60. A $10k investment then would be worth around $900k today figuring in the stock split.

I've never forgotten that day. I learned a lot of lessons from that random 15 minute interaction.

100% mutual fund equities. 75% domestic and 25% foreign. I am 50% passive (index) and 50% actively managed including foreign and small cap).
I hate money but I'll need to eat when I can't work anymore.

If I wanted to speculate I would say there will be a correction of 37.2% (S and P 500) in September of this year starting on the 29th.;)

It appears as though that is National Coffee Day.

It's also VFW Day and National Women's Health and Fitness Day.

    Hope that explains things

Crypto rally and this thread is silent?

I thought this morphed into a gamblers thread? Let's boast about hitting that 2 outer!

Apple has been doing really good for me of late. Post split was kinda flat but now it's finally picking up some steam.

Speaking of investments I invested in a robot lawn mower 2 months ago. Best thing I've ever bought. Push the button on my phone and watch it go cut my grass. Highly reccomend

Nice. It's a long hold. But pilot plant construction about to begin. Revenue by early / mid 22. Then, if it works, it's off to the races!

I never sold so I'm up 150% on BTC. I'm about 50% up on ETH. Doge is still about break even.

I've got about a 25 degree slope in my front yard. It struggles with it a tiny bit. The moss off the oaks is way more annoying.
