Be careful ncar, between siding with 95 and this, the Libbies around here are going to turn on you worse than if you posted a picture wearing a MAGA hat.

Where does he mention a second home? And you think vacations/trips out of state aren't normal? We've taken a couple recently and my city is overflowing with people doing the same. The license plates on my commute bear that out.

So? A decline in effectiveness shows that there is indeed effectiveness.

You have a habit of posting things that counter your point.

You honestly haven't done a lick of research as to how any of this works have you? Boosters are very common in medicine, especially early on until better long term solutions are developed.

You want it to fail so badly. That is really hard to understand.

Do you root against cancer research too?

I see there is no discussion of CA being the 5th youngest state versus FL being the 5th Oldest state. Might be useful to bring up since Covid affects the elderly at a significantly higher rate than young people.

Ha. That is fine by me. I paid a lot of money to UF to earn Physics, Math and Engineering degrees. I am satisfied that along the way smart people taught me how to structure experiments, collect data, analyze data and then formulate actions based on results.

I listen to a lot of "under the radar" podcasts and read websites that temporarily are allowing open viewing of peer reviewed papers on COVID-19. Not politically charged podcasts and websites, though everyone certainly has a political bent. I am a research hound and try to share on this board what I am reading.....even if I do not fully understand the basic science, I am ok with sharing the results for others who do know more than me because I feel good about understanding experimental data.

If someone with a different political opinion than I am is right (in my opinion) then I agree with it. I am not going to argue data with someone solely because our politics are different. Also to that end, over the 1200+ pages of this thread, I am trying to ensure that any comments I make are not snarky, confrontational or otherwise impolite beyond possibly just sharing a differing opinion or conflicting data sets. I am not sure I started this thread that way, but over the past 19 months I hope that I have trended in that direction.

Lol. It was real effective a month ago, now it's a decline. I think my point just what I stated, the vaccine isn’t as effective as reported

CDC recent report shows that aprox. 50% of hospitalized breakthrough covid cases are from individuals with compromised immune systems. That's the reasoning for the booster rollout.

Actually I have, that's why there wasn't any reason for anyone who already had covid to get vaccine. As for the booster you guys just keep on sticking your arm out getting the shots we'll see how well that works for you I hope you're prepared to keep taking those boosters.
I have never said I wanted us to fail. Funny how you want to try to paint me as a person wants to see the vaccine to fail I guess I could say the same about you guys wanting the natural immunity fail

Wait, so now the vaccine was effective a month ago?
Because that isn't what you were saying back then.
You were linking to alleged deaths from the vaccine and telling people how low the % of staff at Shands was that got vaxed.

I have agreed with your position on bullying and shaming people to get the vaccine. I am still just one shot in myself, but you were not preaching a "real effective" sermon a month ago.

Yes I think we all knew that people would presents and conditions would be the most affected. I don't think the boosters are going to do anything more for them if I'm wrong that's great

Actually no. I agree about natural immunity from antibodies.
See that is the difference between you and I here.

    I think both are effective.
You can support both POV's without taking shots at the other.

My point about research was boosters. Boosters are not uncommon. (Shingles etc)

My point is these particular vaccines are failing and I don't see the boosters doing any better. If I'm wrong then that's great

Don't play dumb, I'm not claiming that I thought that, I'm talking about you and others. Most on here have been claiming how great these vaccines were and nobody was talking about booster, now you guys are acting like the booster was just common knowledge. Why don't you be truthful and admit it. The vaccines aren't what everybody thought , that's pretty obivous

You're not playing dumb. Take a look at the CDC COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card. There are spaces for two more entries after 1st and 2nd doses. I wonder what in the world those two spaces could be for? It has ALWAYS been contemplated that booster vaccines might be required. That eventuality is being hastened by the anti-vaccers and the Delta variant.

This is flawed and fallacious thinking. By this logic then any medicine or treatment that requires you to take it again is failing. By your logic Tetanus shots are also failing since they require booster shots too.
