Not hyperbolic. What are we at 4.5M in 18 months? Let's start a list of worst years for excess deaths: 1918, 1944, 1945.... And a good thing hardly anyone died in China, or those numbers would be much worse!

Chances are, the vaccine was transmitted somewhere along the line primarily by non vaxed. If most are vaxed it probably doesn't happen. But no, we can't say anything with complete certainty.

Lol at you. Now your acting like the local libs. No where I say that seat belts didn't work, did I. Sure just go to any hospital and open your eyes, read the articles on those catching covid and almost daily report of those vaxed are catching it. Why are you trying to pay dumb? You know I'm right.

    Ok lets play your game

It's not the % of hospitalized covid patients that are vaxed that's important. It's the % of vaxed people that are hospitalized that's important.

They'll be better off now with the natural immunity, those who had underlying conditions should have gotten the vax in hopes that it would help them somewhat

Before you go put mustard on your pretzel - are you admitting that the anecdotal reasoning you attempted to use (" almost daily report of those vaxed are catching it. Why are you trying to pay dumb? You know I'm right.") is indeed inconsequential and doesn't prove in any way whatsoever that the vax isn't effective?

More proof vaccinations work. Iceland. 70.4% of the entire country's population are fully vaccinated, and an additional 24% of the population is under 18, meaning over 90% of adults are fully vaccinated. Delta has caused a small number of breakthrough cases, but only 3% of the infected are in the hospitals, and zero deaths recorded from COVID since late May.

Right now, the youngest who can get the vaccine in Iceland are 16 year olds. Once younger kids are allowed to get the jab, if Icelandic kids have the same vaccination rates as adults, they will reach herd immunity. Still might be a few breakthrough cases from visitors and travelers who return to Iceland who are COVID positive.

Right now, in the US, just over 50% of adults are fully vaccinated.

Please forgive me. Go here, and select English. It's not too difficult to guess which color (light blue) represents the non-vaxed. Partial vax is light green and full vax is dark green.

St. Johns County schools report 155 COVID-19 cases after 1st day

At the close of the first day of school, the St. Johns County School District reported a total of 155 cases of COVID-19 in its schools.

Of those cases, 95 were students and 60 were employees. There were also a total of 168 quarantines — 33 staff and 135 students. There are a total of 45,600 students and 5,200 staff in the district.

For comparison, Duval County Public Schools, which has roughly three times as many students as the district in St. Johns County, reported 82 total cases in its first week — 66 students and 16 employees.

Sweeden at least than 50% fully vaccinated doing quite well as also.

You know what Iceland and Sweeden have in common?

    Similar HEALTHY populations.

Again I am not saying people should not take the vaccine. But there are other ways to approach this outside experimental drugs.

If only we focused on obesity…we could not only help with Covid but so many other issues in our healthcare system. But I digress.

I wouldn't hold Sweden up as an example of handling COVID well. Here is a look at a comparison for all Scandinavian countries.
